Chris Harris Drives The Porsche 911 Reimagined By Singer - Dynamics & Lightweighting Study
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This is the video we have all been waiting for. A proper deep-dive into the creation and drive of the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer - Dynamics & Lightweighting Study.
Chris takes a walk around Singer's production facility in the UK, showcasing the total build process, from carbon-fibre shell to the finished article at the end of the production line.
As is traditional with any 'Chris Harris Drives' video, we then take the car for some sideways action around Llandow Circuit.

Singer being in LA sure takes advantage of applying hollywood artistry/attention to detail with real/hardcore engineering--as they use a number of fabrication firms here that also work in the live entertainment/SFX/theme park world (as I use them too from what I found). Surprised Chris doesn't have a pad in LA, those rolling hills and fields sure remind me of those in Solvang and Vandenberg sans the B-roads of course.Just beautiful and perfect for the car at hand.

Good old Chris Harris! Thank you very much Man!
That road is amazing even in an MX5. Can't imagine how magnificent it would be in a Singer! The side road to Machynlleth is pretty good as well.
Drove that road many times in a works van and can only imagine the fun he’s had in the singer 😂
That is a masterpiece. Small, light, naturally aspirated and obvious beautiful. What a car.
Jesus H Christ Mr Harris. This content blows my tiny mind. So so so pleased you are now doing this not racing an ice cream van to Blackpool towing a caravan as per Top Gear. Awesome car. Awesome revue. Awesomely different to 99 percent of car content on KZread. You and Harry are knocking it out of the park. Thank you. The death of the car magazine and normal cars and normal car culture is slightly offset by what you do. It's important to many people not least me.
This video brings back so much nostalgia for me! About 10 years ago my friend introduced me about this sick Porsche he saw at the auto show and i looked up on KZread and I fell in love with how beautifully reimagined this porsche is. I wanted to hear the engine roaring but there wasn't any yet on KZread. Couple months later, I finnally found a video of original Singer being driven on the road and it was you! Chris Harris driving the original singer on the California coast and i fell in love with it even more. 10 years later I'm still here on the other side of screen watching "porn" Chris Harris driving Singer with beautiful roar of engine. Thank you so much Chris.
By far this is the best collecting cars video with chris in it that I've watched so far, it's like he was narrating the birth of a newborn baby and his upbringing while being just geeky enough for the few nerds like us
If you want to encapsulate the essence of driving it is the "heel and toe" at 8.44-8.50. If you don't understand that then you are not a driver. Starting at 25 years old I drove Ferraris for 24 years and 264,000 glorious miles (trouble free miles too actually, drive them hard and they treat you right) but when they replaced that gorgeous open gate with a computer controlled flapper change designed to flatter people who do not need to have any skill at all, I walked away. Good on Singer and the team for providing what the rest of the automotive industry has turned its back on. Emotion.
A masterpiece of an old school design combined with modern engineering and style....outstanding.....utterly outstanding!
Pure joy, driven here with masterly control and a car produced by those who really know things! Fabulous, thanks Chris to you and your team! Beautifully filmed to by the way.
I’m going to watch this again and again. Absolute dream car driven by the man you want to see driving it
Just...wow!....another Mr Harris masterpiece...in more ways than one...never knew the connection until now, but everyone connected to the project should be massively proud...what a machine...always admired them from the beginning, but this is off the scale.
Every time I see a Singer, time stops and I find myself transfixed on the details. You can see the "everything is important" philosophy across every square inch of every car they produce. The whole team should be very proud of what they do.
Chris Harris' first Singer drive video is still one of my favourite videos of his. Then he did the big in-dpeth interview with Rob Dickinson, which is still really interesting. I didn't know Chris was involved with the development of this drop dead, top of the line, all out, give it everything Singer 911. But it really does make sense. Everything about this work of art is exquisite, but the idea of a functional, air cooled, 24 valve motor is very, very impressive. Fantastic work. Oh, and fook me. That sound.
One of the best content created in a while! It was a pure join to watch it from start to finish. Wish every creator has the capacity to create dope shit like that. Much love from Toronto.
This is one of the coolest cars on the planet
Everthing is Important... ...the fastodious atention to detail, the impecable craftsmanship, the ode to perfection, the emotional exuberance, the drama... As a piece of ART this car is Baroque on wheels. Velásquez would be proud !

Good Lord, this car is absolutely GORGEOUS. And that engine. *Le Chef’s Kiss” I just love Chris’ reaction at 18:58. To me, it shows that he really loves all things cars and the littlest things about them bring him great joy.
That is just about the most beautiful car I have ever seen ! I've loved Porsche since I was a teenager and this one is everything I've always wanted in one..
This is what happens when technology and talent greatly combine with the ultimate ingredient, which is love. You can see how everyone involved loves this project. And since it came from the heart, all of it exudes something special. I have just finished the video and am still contentedly grinning. Well done, everybody. I really do wish I can at least see one live one day, let alone be in one!
The car is super amazing and exactly what I wanted after having four 80's Porsches in the 80's and 90's. The challenge is the price which in my opinion is astronomical. In the 80s and well into the 90s, you could buy nice Porsches for relatively little money. The 70s Porsches were cheap in the 80s and the 80s Porsches were cheap in the 90s. Today, all Porsches are expensive and many who would like to have such a car and have the knowledge cannot afford it. It's a pitty, but oh my, it's satisfying to see Chris Harris enjoying this amazingly beautiful air-cooled 911.
How good did that look on the slide on those corners, just an unbelievable beautiful machine.
Fantastic video! Chris Harris+Singer is automotive perfection. I love a car where every part is a jewel. I'll never be able to own one, but it's enough just knowing these cars exist.
Automotive art. Happy to see you doing KZread again Chris!
A long time coming! Happy with the length of this film, we could use more like it from you and Neilo. What an absolute work of art this car is.
Having been out in the development car, it's unreal. The bark of the engine, the suppleness of the chassis.
Superb, Chris Harris. As always. You make me smile.
Can I just ignore the beauty of the car for a sec and say the photography in this video is absolutely stunning. The heel'n'toe shots. the interior/exterior slide shots, the drone shots everywhere but especially at the chicane on track where it seemingly just misses Chris tearing through. Throw in the sound of that engine and it's a feast for the senses. Oh and Chris is pretty cool too.

We've all been waiting for this. Well done gentlemen. I am sure when you got the trimming bill for your own green 911 homage you little imagined what has happened with the Singer DLS.
