Chris Funada saw an opportunity to set a static apnea record so he went for it. A number of records are up for the taking in the United States so Chris has been on a tear attempting to get a few under his weight belt. This static apnea record attempt took place in Kona, Hawaii with the help of lots of volunteers from the local freediving community. Chris Funada teaches freediving for Kona Freeedivers and is an avid spearfisherman and volunteer.
