my dad said he heard this song on the plane coming back home from the war and he cried. now hearing this song makes me so glad he made it back safely. i always have to give him a hug after i hear this song. this song does make me cry sometimes for my bff's dad though. he never made it back.

Back when I was a run away risk at 15, I went on a trip to Boston by myself. My mom thought I was never coming home. I did and I heard this song on the plane as we hit cruising altitude. I got off the plan and ran into my mother's arms crying. I dedicated this song to her. I love you mom!

Never get tired of this song! The words have actual meaning, unlike allot of artists these days, Daughtry still has meaningful songs! Awesome stuff...

I am like 12 and I remember being 3 sitting on my couch screaming because he was about to preform on American Idol, I think it was like season 4 or 6??, I never knew so much talent could ever come out of Roanoke Rapids but he did and he is AMAZING!! I have and always will be a Daughtry fan, his music is just so deep and it always hits close to home but I don't think I could live with out hearing this voice. When I was little it was litterally the ONLY thing that kept me from crying. I say threw his concert at the fair one time sitting right by the speakers, I was the only little kid there but I think I knew more words to his song than ANYONE else there!! I love Chris soo much, he is abso-positively my FAVORITE singer/songwriter ever!!!!

I've lost my dad 3 days ago after 14 years of fighting to an awefull disease.. This song makes me hold on these days and lets me smile while i'm crying. He has his rest now.

I first heard this song coming home from a long deployment in Afghanistan and no matter how many times I listen to it I can never get tired of hearing it... i just left the PI, i live there for 7 years.....now I am back home and i never got to say good bye to all my friends there. I still love them and miss them....i didn't hate the place....but it was time i stayed in the states...my real home....

its funny how you want to get out of your home town, and then you are in another place and you start missing your home then realize that there is no place like home, all your friends, food, places and stuff, you will never forget that.

All of you who lost some1, i am sorry for you! i have lost my grandfather and the pain i had i cant describe. And when i am think of you all who lost a son or some1 very close you it must be sick, i dident was so close to my grandfather but the pain was still there :( so i what i trying to say is that its sucks to lose some1 but you must go forward and try forget it :P when i did that the pain just flied away.
