@@stryder_01 Having played through the new update with Stavros' track on it, I can say I like it. I don't feel quite at ease like I do listening to Chris' music, because I lack that warm familiarity. It is certainly very new and brings a different feeling to the soundtrack. I think it is good and it is a good thing to change things up sometimes, and I am sure he will do great in the future too. But it will take me a bit of getting used to after having listened to Chris' Risk of Rain music for years. His music felt like home at this point. Now I feel like I'm moving to a new place. It is good, but it is different. That is a bit scary

The three note melody predominant for like the first fourth of the song actually does kind of come from there! Chris wanted to use the idea in more songs after A Placid Island of Ignorance, he said it in the Survivors of the Void commentary!

There's something about this music that is both nostalgic and alienated (no pun intended). You get the feeling that you heard this before many times throughout your runs but upon entering this strange area of the world, you ended up getting somewhere that you didn't even know existed. To me that's the feeling I get from this soundtrack, really bizarre, but in a VERY VERY good way.

At first the game wasn't updating I literally had to uninstall and reinstall :> BUT it did work after that. My Steam is always so buggy when it comes to updates so if yours is too then try doing that, minding your internet speed ofc

1:18 OMG! Yeah well what can you even say. It is the level of detail. I produce some music on my free time I know how much time goes in to fine tuning and tinkering. Respect. Now I do not know how long it took to make this song. Probably not the longest of all songs but you cannot get this level of detail without some serious skill and dedication to the craft. Absolutely honored to be here when Chris is still releasing new stuff. I wasn’t really all aware of the games when they first came out, but after being introduced and playing the games along with the OSTS, man I don’t think I’ll get sick of them. It’s super cool to have a new song pop up on my notifications.

I remember listening to your Survivors of the Void album commentary and hearing you talk about the melody of "A Placid Island of Ignorance" and wanting to use it elsewhere because you liked it so much, but couldn't fit it in the rest of the SotV soundtrack, so it was awesome to hear it in this one! "A Placid Island of Ignorance" is such a wonderful piece (I'm a sucker for weird time signatures and subdivisions especially), and has easily become one of my new favorite tracks in the game. I can't wait to hear what the rest of the dlc has to offer. Amazing work, Chris!

i never realized how much the risk of rain 2 soundtrack needed flutes or at least that's what it sounds like, it's probably some obscure woodwind called a "blaungeauaux" or something

You had no idea how happy i was when i saw you were doing more of the ROR soundtrack, this shit is unbelievably good keep up the great work man

Learning you were doing the music for the expansion was a relief and a burst of joy at the same time. I suspected as much when I heard this track on the new stage in the free update, but I dared not hope. Now I know and am extremely happy to hear more of some of the best video game music to ever exist. Seriously man, you are like Uematsu level to me.

I'm so excited to explore new worlds with new characters with new music from Chris.

After a long and excruciatingly hot week, I wished that it would just rain all the time. But I guess Chris was right.

Chris, you are back at it again! I love Risk of Rain 2 music, definitely one of the main things i love about the game! And this track is pretty damn cool because it always gives the sound of like, maybe the rain is farther than it is but in reality, you are already at its eye as far as i could tell. Unfortunally, if this is Verdant Falls theme, then i cant hear it for some reason. But good work!

The first thing I hear after picking up the game for the first time in a while to check out the new update. All the staples of RoR music hit just right: The piano and percussion giving that air of mystery, the powerful synth giving it a hostility fitting the planet, and those classic four ascending and descending notes. Felt like game itself was giving me a "welcome back". Wonderful stuff.

This song evokes the sensations of anxierty and curiosity at the same time. Its the fear of something unknown at the same time you just want to find oit more about what you are getting into.
