Shut Down” is a hard-hitting track that sees Chris lean into his “trap” side, setting the tone for the mixtape and backing its name. In the track, he raps about “shutting down” the club by means of a black ski mask and weapon, smoking marijuana, and one-upping his opponents.
“Shut Down” was shock released days before Before da Trap: Nights in Tarzana via SoundCloud as the first offering from the mixtape.
