It's not stat-padding. It requires you to make good plays to get those numbers. And A LOT of energy. Rebounding and positioning at 6'2"- 6'3"? That's crazy. Try to play as an all-around player on the court and tell me how your body would feel afterward. Westbrook has an incredible motor and his energy level is at 100mph. It is not easy at all to even get one triple-double in your career. I don't think any NBA player would put stats over a championship ring.

No, they are saying he should realize that winning is the priority and that he needs to care enough about winning to make adjustments. Its not about your wife, your kids, and personal life but about making adjustments to your game to win for yourself, your teammates who depend on you, and for your organization who pays you millions of dollars to help them win. So you may be happy with your personal life but that is irrelevant to why you were hired to play the game and you need to focus on the fact that you are not winning, figure out why not, and change. Saying you are happy with your personal life has NOTHING to do with the goals of the organization. Drop the selfishness.

So it really doesn’t matter what they think. Y’all want these athletes to grimace so bad because YALL do. These guys know what’s at stake when you’re competing. Somebody wins, somebody loses. But he said all that to say “regardless of what narrative you guys wanna stick on me, I’m still competing. And I’m still great.”

  • @willfoncham2084

@@LostBoysBasketball you completely missed what soulsearch1234 said. Russ going to his family and himself is irrelevant and will not hold himself accountable for his team. He clearly cares about himself and his stats more than his team and the fact that he has no humility is where the core problem is. If he doesnt have that, it's frustrating. Because we as fans know, his humility would actually be his key to success, not this stupid "I'm going to be me" talk. He doesn't like criticism and will retire Allen Iverson 2. A great PG that never realized, his own greatness and pride is actually blocking him from a title. If triple doubles, and selfish attitude means more than your team and winning, then I guess we're done talking.
