Regarding the sound you hear with this video - provided you are listening to the video through decent ear-buds or head phones or decent speakers connected to your computer, you should be able to hear a reasonable audio recording based off of the Zoom Q3HD which was one of three cameras used to record this. The other two cameras are the Go Pro Hero 3 Silver edition model. Their audio is nowhere near as good as the Zoom Q3HD, so that is why I went with it for the sound.
As for the sound, I have read a ton of debate about what I was using (read above - now you know) and how it sounded. In situations such as these, where set up and tear down is not something where I am afforded the luxury of time, I have to move quickly. That is why I have so far chosen to go with the Zoom Q3HD for the audio. I am always on the lookout for making improvements, but for now, this is as good as it gets for having a VERY mobile unit to capture video and audio. I have mentioned before that I am always open to any suggestions for how to make the sound better. But for what this is and for how quickly I have to get set up and tear down, this is not that bad. Thanks for reading and let's keep the comments positive and helpful, not negative and uncool. Thanks. - Chris Brewer

My friend earned a music scholarship for drums. We played in a metal cover band in high school. We would listen to this drum fill on repeat together. He lost his life to alcoholism and suicide. Never thought ruin by lamb of god would make me tear up but here we are 😂

Chris footwork was sloppy af live. That's why now when you go to a show the bass is loud af. Because art is the better live drummer.

At the live shows, his kick low end is the loudest thud I've ever felt. I go to hip hop and metal shows and it was amazing. When the drum tech came out and tested it a couple of times, every one in the pit was like, "oh damn, its about to go down"

Para diddle on bass? I dont think Ive ever heard a drummer do a para diddle on bass for anything other than practice and Ive never heard Chris Adler do one.
Chris’s drums always sound killer!
It's cool to see the fill still presents a challenge for him he totally rocks out after he nails it, he's had such an impact on drummers not just in metal but other genres too Chris adler and Thomas haake arguably the two most important drummers in metal in the past twenty years.
3:03 the fucking fill. i've always said seeing lamb of god is worth the price of admission just to hear adler play that fill
Chris Adler is a Wizard.
Dude is so calm and loose. Willing to bet he can play this in his sleep.
That Ride bell just cuts right through! Freakin awesome.
Best drummer to ever walk the face of this earth
Adler rules!!
I think that's called having played a song countless numbers of times over a decade and also having incredible dedication to improving his playing ability
Excellent vid, possibly the best metal drummer around today.
That fill😮
That snare...
Love this song and love this album ! Chris is one of my favorite drummers. I must say...he seemed to struggle with this one on that particular night. Some tempo issues and also seemed fatigued. I get it. I play too! I am happy to see that a man such as mr adler here also has issues once and again. It gives me hope. We as musicians seem to be very hard on ourselves when it comes to our skills. That said, loved the video. Chris is amazing. Im not half the drummer he is. I have more okay notes than perfect ones. Keep rockin and always know, you cannot be perfect all the time.
Besides the snare volume, great performance
A lot of people hating on the sound. You have to realize that they all have in ear sound going on...meaning you aren't going to hear the music from back there the same as the crowd hears it..there are no monitors
I love how he doesn't have his snare as tilted as he used to :D
Hearing the crowd roar after hitting that fill has got to be the best feeling ever
Chris always had so much passion behind his playing....legendary
Nothing beats the original 🤘
I found that Chris Adler always had the sickest sounding snare
The live sound of his drums always sound weak, except for his snare which he probably tightens with a tire iron. Companies who video record him can never get a decent sound. That's why you have to see them live. They some how get amazing sound out of the mics. They produce the loudest, deepest kick I've ever heard. The drum tech almost started a mosh pit when he was sound checking. It was that impacting

Chris Adler FTW
at first was gutted that the sound was only him but it's kinda cool you can just about hear the band and it's like the adler experience. Love how crazy the crowd go for the fill, you can hear them shouting the lyrics all the way through too.. band must be pumped
How can he sit that low but get that much power and agility still. A freakin beast man one of my biggest influences

That fill at 3:03 is legendary!
I love the sound of his kicks. Deliciously recorded. ;)
He's quite isolated back there behind all those lights and dry ice. Can't see the crowd or anything. I'm a drummer myself and sometimes feel a disconnect from the audience.

Oh My God!!
Well, if you don't like the cymbals, just say you don't like them, and all the audio here was recorded with a Zoom Q3HD, just a video recorder, so of course the audio isn't really up to par with something like a studio setup, with proper micing.
See the description for information about how this video and its audio were recorded. Thanks. - Chris Brewer
perfect
The kick drum sounds perfect. xD That's how low-end sounds on a mic. Sounds delicious to me.

Yeah, he's using the trick pro 1-v pedals, with the vruk heel plate attachment.
3:04... It´s amazing!!!
I really wish Chris would resort to using crash cymbals a few inches larger. I think it would make the overall sound a little more massive, aggressive, and fuller. I've seen them a couple times performing live, and his crash cymbals all sounded like splash cymbals. :(
Dat fill.

I can hear it also - on two different computers.
hell yes you could it was so fuckin loud! you can see me front row at 1:16. i just started uploading a couple of the videos from this show. ill have the rest of them uploaded within a couple weeks
Everyone knows why they’re here for \m/
💥💥💥💥💥💥🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
Panther snare sounds kick ass! I agree the audio is focused towards the crowd so it’s not gonna sound as good on this particular video.
I think it's because of Resolution. I think it's supposed to match the album cover.
This is Polish drum pedals "Czarcie Kopyto":). Amazing video:)
The high end sounds amazing, the bass drum is almost inaudible. Thats the only thing I would try and change. Other than that it's quite good.
03:05 for all the lamb of god people that came to see Chris throw down..
Yes he used vruks on his pedals
Yes the fill is legendary, but that fucking cymbal work at @2:00
