Really Nice Choy Lee fut, though it brings up a question I never thought of before, how does choy impliment hand strikes at the close range?

the buk sing branch of choy li fut has a variety of hammerfists, elbow strikes, short-range punches, and hand trapping techniques for close range combat. Choy li fut as a whole was designed for effectiveness at both long and short range combat.

@@yhshirl are you with Xin Hui Choy Lee Fut? Do you do full contact sparring with Choy Lee Fut?

Jay Son Wong no, I'm not with Xinhui Choy Li Fut. However, I am a Choy Li fut practitioner who does full-contact sparring under mma/kickboxing rules

@@yhshirl good, you tried using kungfu sparring with open hand gloves? Problem with kungfu nowadays, they no longer do full contact sparring. The boxing gloves used in sanda and floor fighting removed completely are 2 main things that killed kungfu. Currently brainwashing 2 McDojo southern kungfu friends to train full contact sparring + how to counter mma grapplers

@@jayjay53313 I do CLF and I do full contact sparring. It's really effective!
Wonderful technique! What are the rules and is there anyone who does Hung Gar? My Sigung is John SS Leong. Kung Fu Salute brothers.
They say that Sanda has origins in this martial art? Is that true

I will ask Sifu Kuttel tomorrow and get back to you. I assume that Sanda take its roots from K-1 rules. It would just be a set of rules from Kung Fu men to compete fairly.
why does the other opponent wind up there hooks
@yhshirl

Sau choi can be used as either a hook, an overhand, or a finisher, as the power comes from the downward rotation/pivot of the hips and the legs. The reason for the wind up is because your arms are supposed to be like rocks tied to a string, since the looseness of the attack allows you to recover even if you miss. People think it’s ineffective since it looks like a haymaker. However, this same technique/principle has been successfully used by prominent MMA fighters such as Cung Le, Roy Nelson, Chuck Liddell, and Cody Garbrandt to land some of the most devastating knockouts in the ring.
👍🏽
Blue shirt dude just kept shooting for the takedown xD
