Yet cats still worship StarClan, who… (spoilers) 1. Gave Tigerstar and Brokenstar 9 lives and refused Nightstar’s 2. Gave Yellowfang unwanted powers 3. Put a prophecy on Bluestar that ruined her life 4. Made Goosefeather mad 5. Destined many cats to be med cats even though they didn’t want to 6. Didn’t help save ShadowClan from Sol, only helped when LIVING cats stepped in and did most of the work 7. Blamed Midnight for Sol’s chaos 8. Let so many bad cats (Ashfur, Thistleclaw) into Starclan but put Frecklewish in the Dark Forest 9. Don’t help when an apprentice is being trained by a DF cat This is probably why Starclan Anger MAPs exist….

How firestar lost all of his lives in case anyone is interested: First Death: Killed By Scourge during the battle against BloodClan (He was actually killed by blunt force trauma due to Scourge slamming his head against the rocks) in The Darkest Hour. Second Death: Killed in the battle during Heart of a Warrior Third Death: Killed by the leader rat during the battle against the Rats in Firestar’s Quest Fourth Death: Crushed by a tree while saving the ShadowClan camp in Dawn. Fifth Death: Killed by Hawkfrost’s fox trap in Sunset Sixth Life: Killed by greencough in Dark Shadows Seventh Life: Killed by a neck wound due to a fox shortly before The Fourth Apprentice. Eighth Life: Killed by Russetfur during the battle against ShadowClan in Fading Echoes. Ninth Life: Died to to blood loss and wounds during the Last Battle in The Last Hope

I would love for warrior cats to explore more of the feelings leaders must have about having 9 lives and how it affects them. The feeling carelessness that builds over time. How little they'd begin to care at all. "The 6th death was simply just an apathetic day for me" is a line that perfectly captures that feeling. You represented here in your art beautifully and It's truly a sight to behold. Amazing work, I adore your content and I hope you feel better soon

Actually dallied on this topic in a rp of mine. Instead of the careless apathy it was more so being traumatized over and over again. My oc greatly feared death after losing 3 lives at once to an assassination attempt and became extremely paranoid over how easily she could just lose her lives. The more lives she lost the more she spiraled. (Other reasons too but I feel the trauma of death is never really focused on

@shadowstar med cat works though the full word is medicine cat but I shorten it all the time lol But that's cool! My oc went out with a bang too 😅 started a whole war and died leading a massacre on a whole clan. She killed their leader (they both died from their wounds) and led coyotes into their camp to kill off the whole clan.

Without Firestar, the clans wouldn’t exist at all. He was the one to bring Windclan home, He was the one who saved Shadowclan from Brokenstar, and Tigerstar. He saved Thunderclan so many damn times to even count, and He has also been so generous and helpful too Riverclan.

Without Firestar, Jayfeather never would've existed. Therefor, the clans never would have existed either.

I don't think people like Firestar over the whole Spottedleaf situation, for some reason. I've been reading the books again and I've missed so much. Firestar still has a place in my heart, his 'relationship' with Spottedleaf seemed very one sided?. He joined the clans and just pretty much instantly saw things a child shouldn't see. But he still pulled through, he's a strong character. 10/10

For some reason, I picture Sandstorm being the one singing this to him? She was always so hurt by his deaths, and it seemed like she was just getting used to the fact that he had nine lives when he used his last one in the Great Battle.

Say what you want about Firestar, but at least he drove the plot forward instead of having things just sort of happen to him! He had agency and made choices that had far reaching consequences, and that makes for a pretty interesting character imo. Edit: also this song fits so well my god, this video is amazing!!

hard agree!! He was punished so many times as an apprentice and young warrior for going against code and helping other clans behind Bluestar's back. Just as Hollyleaf, he didn't sit and wait until problems were solved themselves. He always took an action and stood up (thats until became a leader ofc)

For those who haven’t read the books in a little while, here are the details of how Firestar lost all his lives!! i saw another comment here listing them, but not all of the information there is accurate, so I’m clarifying a few points lol. *First life:* Killed By Scourge during the battle against BloodClan, in chapter 28 of _The Darkest Hour._ Scourge was attacking Onewhisker and Firestar diverted his attention. Firestar put up a decent fight, but Scourge clawed him pretty viciously across the head and caused him to fall back. It’s left unclear whether it was the actual blow that killed him or the impact of hitting the ground, but it is what it is. *Second life:* Killed by the leader of the rat pack during SkyClan’s raid in chapter 32 of _Firestar’s Quest._ Despite being overwhelmed by rats, Firestar stays behind in the barn as everyone else escapes to try and save Rainfur. The rat leader jumps on his back and claws out his throat before he can, though. Also worth noting is that apparently rats can talk in Warriors. This is never brought up again. *Third life:* Killed during the battle against BloodClan’s remnants in _Ravenpaw’s Path #3: The Heart of a Warrior,_ chapter 3. Unfortunately it is not actually shown in the manga since according to Vicky, the scene got cut out by the editors. It would have occurred on the evening that Firestar led ThunderClan to help drive the BloodClan cats out of Ravenpaw and Barley’s barn, or perhaps during the ensuing dog fiasco. It’s very vague and we have been given no details on the circumstances of his death. *Fourth life:* Crushed by a falling birch tree in chapter 14 of _Dawn_ while helping to evacuate ShadowClan’s camp. Onewhisker is running back in for one of Tallpoppy’s kits when the tree above them is cut down by a monster, and Firestar shoves them both out of the way and gets hit instead. Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw are able to pull him out from under the tree so he can recover. *Fifth life:* Killed by Hawkfrost’s fox trap in chapter 22 of _Sunset._ We don’t get an active description of him losing the life since Brambleclaw is somewhat preoccupied at the time, but it is confirmed that he did in chapter 2 of _Leafpool’s Wish._ Hawkfrost conspired with Ashfur behind Brambleclaw’s back and had Ashfur tell his apprentice/nephew Birchpaw to ask Firestar to come to the lake to meet Blackstar- but he instead walked into the fox trap they had set up, which caught him around the neck and slowly strangled him as Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw fought. It is unspecified whether he lost the life before or after Brambleclaw dug up the stake. *Sixth life:* Killed by greencough in chapter 19 of _Long Shadows._ When the epidemic sweeps through ThunderClan, Firestar has the idea of moving all of the sick cats to the abandoned twoleg nest as a means of quarantine. Since he himself is one of them, he goes with his sick Clanmates. The illness winds up killing him a bit later and he dies in the far side of the den with only a wad of wet moss to drink from, surrounded by Lionblaze, Brightheart, Cloudtail, and Honeyfern. *Seventh life:* Killed by a fox shortly before _The Fourth Apprentice_ (seen in a flashback in chapter 2). While on a patrol with Sandstorm, Graystripe, Thornclaw, and Briarpaw, they are all ambushed by a fox near the dead tree at ShadowClan’s border. It lands a deep gash along Firestar’s side and he bleeds to death in a clump of ferns while Jayfeather tries to save him. *Eighth life:* Killed by Russetfur during the fight with ShadowClan in chapter 24 of _Fading Echoes._ During the last phase of the battle over the strip of territory on the ShadowClan border, Firestar ends up entangled with Russetfur as she bites down hard on his neck and refuses to let go. She is ripped off of him by Lionblaze, but it is too late already and Firestar bleeds out on the ground as the other cats argue over Lionblaze killing Russetfur. Sorreltail is the first one to notice that Firestar is dying. Sandstorm reaches his side, but a few seconds too late, as he had already died just moments before. *Ninth life:* Presumably killed by Tigerstar during the climactic finale of the Great Battle in chapter 27 of _The Last Hope._ Now, in the actual text he appears to get swallowed in the flames of a burning tree _(not_ crushed by it- the book never actually says anything about that), but word of the authors claims that it was a symbolic smoke/exhaustion-induced hallucination on Dovewing’s part and he actually succumbed to wounds previously inflicted. However, the only injury he sustained from Tigerstar was a bite to the throat that was explicitly mentioned to have torn away only fur and no flesh, but... well… who knows, honestly. Firestar’s final death will always be a mystery. But for simplicity’s sake we’ll call it wounds. Kinda weird that two of his deaths were saving Onewhisker and two more of them happened in barns/houses, though, huh? He also seemed to bleed to death a lot. Poor guy.

Ikr, I thought Tallstar chose Onestar bc of the bond he has with Firestar, but i guess leadership just changes people and cats😢

Canon firestar has never interested me even when I was a kid reading the first book that came out. This though! If this was canon and we got to explore these feelings I think I would have loved his character. Amazing work.

firestar is underrated. without him, we wouldn’t get some of our favorite characters. yet he gets hate for being “overrated” and when he’s someone’s favorite warrior cat.

Although Firestar is long gone, I will NEVER EVER forget of the great many things he did, if i remember, he literally spent all nine of his lives saving each clan, and although they may not be wholly greatfull, i can tell Firestar had never regretted a thing. Firestar will never leave the hearts of all who has read Warrior Cats❤❤❤

Don't you love it when a song seems to perfectly fit a character you have or a map? This song is SOOOOO perfectly fit for Firestar!

Can we all agree he was done so dirty? He saved each clan, like a lot! From bad leaders, isolation, starvation, hostile take overs, needless battles, and the whole of Sky clan! And what does he get for his troubles? Hostility at every turn, snubbed by starclan several times when he asks for actual help, and onestar treating him like absolute dirt. Then to top it off a death for finally destroying one of the greatest evils the clans had ever seen. He doesn't get to die peacefully surrounded by the cats he loved seeing his clan thrive, but has to watch as one of the cats he tried to mentor into a great warrior treats his daughter like crow food, then sees his best friend grow old without him and his mate die a painful death. And the clan he worked so hard to help bring together get shattered by onestars "child". That's just an extra kick in the teeth! Seriously! He could never catch a break!

He selflessly gave his 9 lives to help other clans and his own, he gave it all without needing something rather he just wanted peace. FireStar was one of the best leader in the book, he saved the whole clan.

You have a very creative imagination I would have never expected this song to be paired with Firestar nor the concept of lives alone to be used its such a unique and a breath of fresh air. One feature I especially enjoy is your line quality. It's so light and airy and despite being thin helps create a ample deal of volume and depth in tandem with your use of light and shadow. One feature I also love is your storytelling using visuals with little to no writing can be difficult as it can be hard to convey a narrative but you manage very well with your use of colors, form, and execution. Wonderful work

I’ve only just finished the first series and I’m shocked. Firestar did so much to try helping the clans. I’m getting firestars quest and midnight in the post should maybe be here tomorrow but I seriously can’t wait. I feel bad for firestar.

This is so well done, excellent job! The production quality and art is simply amazing. I love Firestar's story. Say what you will about him but he was the plot driver for the books and I grew up following him along his life. I really like how this video sums up those critical points of his life.
