this performance is so minimalistic but it is so, so good. moonbyul defines cool.

i can’t stress enough just how much i LOVE the choreo for synopsis, this was such a fantastic surprise 💗💗 the formations, the intracacies of every single movement byul pulls off in this is just absolutely breathtaking. Easily one of my top 5 most favourite choreos of all time 🐹✨

I’m not a dance professional at all. But my humble take on this choreography and all her others is that: I think Moonbyul likes contemporary dance(?), dances that tell stories with movement rather than sharp and dynamic movements seen in more hip hop and pop choreographs (though I still think she like those as well). I don’t know why but it’s taken me 3 years to come to this conclusion.

yeah i agree! i am also not a dancer but i noticed mb really seems to like flowing, evocative movements and her style isn't much about hitting beats and being precise or doing like difficult feats but more of showing the mood and story with dance

I just think Moonbyul is the consummate poet her lyrics, her dancing, her rapping, singing it's all poetry. when given enough freedom, all of it coalesces into one complete performance that seems a bit lacking when one element is missing. I guess it feels nice to categorize dancing but hip hop dancing can tell a story too. all dancing can be interpretive. The choreographer uses whatever moves that will complement the story in the song.
