Beautiful. You are one of the few who does not rush with this piece and actually takes time playing it.

It's one of Chopin's last pieces. I don't think he wanted it to be fast, especially since it's in minor key. Thanks!

A ten z op 34 no 2 w Pana wykonaniu wręcz zjawiskowy.

Superb performance! This Master piece of Chopin has so many emotions. This piece always remind me of my beautiful past days with family where we had a small house in a small village and everybody used to live the life to the fullest. In the rat race to earn money and materialism, everything seems to be fading away.

Ależ cudownie zagrane. Genialny utwór w genialnym wykonaniu ❤ Właśnie zacząłem się uczyć grać ten utwór i będzie to mój pierwszy utwór Chopina. A to wszystko dzięki Pana filmom i analizom na KZread. Po Pana wspaniałej relacji z wiosennej trasy koncertowej w Norwegii w ubiegłym roku, postanowiłem spełnić marzenie z dzieciństwa i nabyłem pianino. Bardzo dziękuję za inspirację Maestro!

Dear Greg, I recently 'discovered' you and learned a lot from you in a short time. Your analyzes are fantastic, as is this performance of a seemingly simple walz…. I am grateful for all your contributions and the time you put into it. The modesty you bring to this waltz does not detract from the piece, on the contrary. It's like dancing in a dream, bringing back sweet memories. And so this tempo fits perfectly there! Bravo from Austria, Paul Manche 💫🇦🇹

@@gregniemczuk I must say that I usually prefer faster versions, but somehow your interpretation feels just right for this piece - a bit melancholic, tender, almost nostalgic (which I was never able to hear together in other versions I like). Very nice! I like the regularity of tempo, with just the right amount of rubato. Also, you don't try and make this waltz into something that it isn't. Sometimes I've fallen into the trap of trying to make it more dramatic than the notes really suggest. This waltz is truly a test of one's skill as a pianist and performer. Can you make something captivating out of such a simple, unassuming piece? There's no technical fireworks or moments of dramatic showmanship to wow the audience with like the etudes or other more complex works. Just a beautiful, relatively straightforward melody, the regular pulse of the waltz, and the repetition of the theme + variations. A wonderful challenge

Thank you. Yes, absolutely! Very challenging piece. Chopin, at the end of his life, went back to simplicity. But it's a complex simplicity, very demanding and profound!
Oooh, beloved Bösendorfer, a really noble brand, so rich with that round, full bass, always love Chopin on it, wonder what he would have thought about the brand. And I love how relaxed and simple you played the Waltz. One of the few Chopin pieces that I can play, but not like that!
