Chopin Prelude E minor Op. 28 #4 PIANO TUTORIAL
Музыка
This is my tutorial for Chopin's E Minor Prelude (Opus 28 Number 4). This piece is pretty short, and technically, it's within reach of most beginning pianists. It's also a really great exercise for playing left hand chords. In this video, I show you how to play this piece one hand at a time, and then both hands together. I also tell you where I change the pedal.

So far so good. This and the Lonely Man (Incredible Hulk theme from the old TV show) are the two ones I want to learn. Most tutorials also aren’t nearly as “humanizing” as yours appears to be if that makes sense. Sets the learner at ease

Hi there! Thank you for this amazing amazing tutorial. This was one of the best ones on KZread for this piece. I have a question - Will it be possible for you to provide some feedback if I send you a private link of me playing this piece? I will PayPal you whatever I can for your time. This was my first ever piece that I played with two hands and a pedal. I bought a new keyboard (with more keys) and a pedal specifically for this piece. I feel that I am good at it now. Please let me know. Thank you, again.

I just learned this piece this week but I need to soften up my right hand. It was suggested to use flat fingers what do you think?
@ThePianoKeys
6 жыл бұрын
Yes, when you play with a flatter finger, you can produce a softer tone. I do it quite often. Also remember to keep your wrist flexible and relaxed, and your fingers close to the keys.

Then you need to practice that part over and over again.
1 2 4 fingering works better on first chord, then no need to move hand for bar 2.
Hi
There is an old song titled How Insensitive kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z2F1s7iAgZSfp9Y.html Do you think the composition could have been inspired by Chopins Prelude in E minor (Op. 28 #4)?
@ThePianoKeys
3 жыл бұрын
I love Jobim's music! How Insensitive certainly has similarities to this Prelude.
@brucebalstad602
3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the reply. I didn’t know How Insensitive was by Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim also known as Tom Jobim in America and on the old Andy Williams Show. I saw an interview about two years ago with a close friend of Jobims and he said sometimes Jobim would play one of his songs for him and would say this part is from Beethoven and this part is from Brahms and so on. I thought his friend might be kidding. I guess he wasn’t kidding. It’s a small world after all. And thank you for doing this amazing tutorial. I am learning tons about which fingers I should use for the cords for the left hand.@@ThePianoKeys
