wooo finally recorded this one, it's a weirdly tough piece! but also the best nocturne of the op9 set i think :) hope you like it as much as i do!

I just started learning this piece after hearing you play it. The long runs and double sharps definitely make it difficult to learn, and the angsty section is going to require a lot of work to be able to put the left and right hands together. Hoping I can oneday play it as well as you did!

You handle that very difficult Nocturne beautifully; very nice interpretation! Your right and left hand are quite independent throughout most of that piece due to Chopin's love of counterpoint, hemiola, and x vs. y in the treble and bass staves. Yer piano might need a little bit of a tuning though, my peer! ;)

is there anywhere this piece is transcribed for other instruments? it's not as popular so it's rly hard to find and it's almost like transcriptions for other instruments don't exist. i love this piece sm and i cant find any transcriptions for flute:(

basically chopin just had the same basic melody (exhibit) but changed stuff about the notes (ex adding accents, grace notes, slurs, stuff like that) so every time it was the same melody with different ornamentation will just said exhibit 1 2 3

Haha yes, I will :) ... eventually! For the sake of variety I’ll record some different stuff for a bit and then come back for the Op15 set. The different opus numbers split the nocturnes into nice, palatable chunks to learn! I’m looking forward to Op15 No1 though, I think it’s a really nice one.
