the control in her hands is amazing. Whenever I try to play a quiet but fast piece I sound like I'm trying to aggressively slap a child

@@bakuto.1055 Depends on what your taste is. In my opinion, you can't fully pinpoint a style to a composer/pianist but rather to the piece itself. That's why e.g. I sometimes like Schubert pieces played by Mrs. Pires better than the ones played by Barenboim and vice versa. I really like Tiffany's performance of the Polonaise.

Give it your best and see what comes around but most importantly: Have fun! Don't play just to be better or to compare yourself to others. It's gotta be a mix of extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. ;) And guys in the comments: Stop talking about years as if you knew the exact amount of time it takes someone to do something at a certain level. It is way more sophisticated than that!
7:19 you have incredible elasticity with these octaves. It looks so natural and sounds unforced with a clear sense of the overarching line. That's just one moment - your whole performance is beautifully judged!

I'm speechless. In this life, I can love and appreciate this music from this great soul. So many gifts in this life. Thank you, Tiffany.
Tiffany interprets Chopin's poetry with dignity and a sublime touch. The months, weeks and hours that came before allow the listener to witness both your artistry and the timelessness of Chopin's again and again!
I love Tiffany so much... she literally embodies everything I wanna be as an online influencer in classical music 🤤🤤
we have been blessed once again
Thank you so much for bringing us to the world of Chopin
Gosh dammitt she's good!!! It's like the keys are on fly-by-wire, she just touches them!

@sam kawalski bruh, have you ever even played the etudes or the polonaise? There's maybe like 4, max 5, etudes that are comparable in difficulty to the polonaise. 10-1, 10-2, 25-6, 25-10 and 25-11
Today I'm going to have a piano, this is the best inspiration to start learning 🎹🎹🎹
Unbelievable that I could watch this for free 😭 thank you so much Tiffany ❤
We missed you!
I’ve been watching you play for years now… I must say you were absolutely fantastic such exquisite playing… So smooth on every note. Absolute power where it’s needed and a beautiful singing tone where it’s essential…. I think you really captured the essence of what Chopin was trying to convey. Interpretation just loved every minute… You are something else ❤️
Tiffany is admirable! I've been watching her for a few years now and I admire her talent!
Wow. That was great. The people who made it possible for you to have the Steinway have truly given the world a gift. Can you imagine if Chopin had somehow been able to know that this girl from Hong Kong would be in a NYC apartment playing his music on this piano to the world via the net? It's pretty astounding.
I will save 50 euros every months now to buy a piano. It's been to long that I am saying "I will..." It is decided now. I loved the final

You will be saving for six years then:) Cheapest new piano with some sort of "quality" badge costs 3600 euros (Yamaha B1, Kawai K15), sounds nowhere as good as Steinway and weights no less than 200 kilos. You can buy a cheap trash old piano, but you probably will need to pay whole year savings for it to be transported to your place. If you can put aside only 50 euros a month better save for a new bike and ride to the nearest local public music school.

Lorenzo, don't wait any longer: you might be able to RENT a good piano for a small monthly fee (in Germany, monthly fees start around 25,- EUR). If it's a decent seller, they will give you a discount on the instrument when you finally buy it. Go for it!

RJ Lee lol just because classical music is predominantly European doesn’t mean that it’s white supremacy, though i do think that there is a large need for POC and lgbtq+ people in the classical industry, classical music is beyond the person and transcends the soul, as is all music

10:10! 10/10! I've heard so many recordings of this and always wondered it seems so obvious what Chopin was trying to say and nobody translated it correctly, until you! The greats may have nailed the scherzo section but this is my favorite recording of this piece ever because of the 10:10. Thank you for enriching my study session, Tiffany. I hope I can play as well as you did when you were 12 someday :)

Really wonderful performance, particularly the Grand Polonaise, which you showed the playfulness to great effect. I always think this was Chopin having fun, and showing that he wasn't always so serious! Well done! I think Chopin would have shed a few tears at this if he could see/hear it - the passion, the accuracy, the amazing instrument. Amazing!
