    I really wish you had advocated for initiating treatment with low-dose combination therapy - this is the standard now, not monotherapy.

    ​@@cfoster6804no one likes multiple drugs but with monotherapy, theirs poor Chance at adequately controlling the BP cos it'll still rise after a while...

    @@cfoster6804there are combination pills that come prepared. They have proven higher efficacy with lower incidence of reported side effects i.e. Calcium channel blockers, particularly Amlodipine in higher doses (10mg) can cause more lower extremity swelling compared to just 5mg

    Magnesium (glycinate) supplement at night and avoiding calcium supplements (because they raise blood pressure and bone loss comes from a magnesium, not calcium deficiency).

    This is true. Most people get enough calcium in diet anyway.

    Beta blockers that are cardio selective. Like Beta blocker 1 meds.

    ACE inhibitors Are contraindicated in CKD bcz it causes Hyperkalemia

    It's is drug of choice in ckd as it slow ckd progression, as long as gfr is >30

    No they arent they just prevent damage caused by hypertension like strokes or heart attacks
