I've always liked the lever-back best, but now that I have old-lady floppy earlobes, the wide plastic-back ones tend to work best. Neat hack, Allie, with the cardboard cut-out! Thank you for helping out, Bella, well done!

Thanks, I bought these special locking earring backs I wear with my mothers diamond studs earrings which I’m paranoid about losing, they work great.

Excellent info. I would make a lot more earrings if there was a clip on option.

Hi Janette! Many ear wires can be substituted with clip-ons that you can purchase just about anywhere. My grandmother had unpierced ears for most of her life and wore clip ons. I hope you can start making more earrings in the future!
