I have the Squirrel Buster Plus with the weather dome. It was pricey but worth it! It's several years old and still busting those squirrels! It has paid for itself in seed savings. I have watched many squirrels try and FAIL to get the seed. The spring trap is adjustable weight as well. Chickadees, finches, sparrows, downy woodpeckers, cardinals all love it! The dome helps keep the ice pellets/rain/snow out of the feeding ports and give the birds protection from the elements while they eat.

@@Niteskylot3b If it's hung high enough, yes. The bottom of my feeder is 8 feet of the ground. You can add a regular baffle/dome over the entire feeder as well for extra protection.

Thanks so much. I purchased a large buster on Face Book. I got a great deal, but it is worth the higher retail price.

Just ordered one of these today! LOOKS like it'll keep them varmints OUT! I just began bird feeding my Cardinals and found the small dishes I had put out for them emptied out; scattered bowls on the floor and noted some squirrels hanging around! Hopefully this gadget will do the trick and keep 'em OUT! Thanks for what looks like a GREAT INVENTION!!!!

A better invention yet...petroleum jelly on the upright! Problem solved for pennies and I haven't had a squirrel on my feeder in 25 yrs, no joke.

Nice video...just got my feeder - unfortunately I did not know about your company or probably would have ordered it from you. I liked your humor and the fact your company has a mission statement. Great job.

They are expensive but worth the money. They are quality product, durable, easy to fill and maintain. Brome service is fantastic. We have at least one of each and birds love them. The new Suet feeder is great.

Found my mini Squirrel Buster on the ground this morning. I suspect raccoons in the middle of the night. The raccoons figured out how to lift the extension rod green cover and unhook the feeder...either accidentally or on purpose. I guess I'll need to bring the feeder in at night. ☹

Those racoon a shifty that’s for sure, I have zipped tied my standard to my hook before, makes it more difficult for them to get it off, but we can still slide it off the hook for filling . 😊 , Bob

The recent arrival fox squirrels are now knocking off the wire perches from our Squirrel Buster feeders. Without perches, the feeders aren't any good for the birds even if the squirrels don't get the seeds. I have to call and order replacement perches, but they won't last half a day. Maybe I'll engineer some perches that bolt on. The wire bail ones were fine, but they're a total fail with fox squirrels.

It looks like only the bottom section below the weather dome moves down, whereas with your other squirrel busters the whole casing from top to bottom moves. Could a squirrel not climb down from the top, perch or in some way grip itself to that weather dome and get its head down into the feeding ports without needing to touch and thereby activate the bottom section? Also, since there is no metal casing around the plastic food tube above the weather dome like other squirrel busters have, could the squirrel not eventually bite its way through the plastic?

Can a Cardinal ring be put on a mini?

I want to get the big one of these. Can blue jays eat if of it? I have some in my back yard and don’t want to leave them out.

Depends a lot on where you place it, keeping the distance over 18 “ away from the sides so they can’t reach it and pull it toward them. Once the they land on it the food port is closed off and nothing can get in or out. I find that most of the time people problems are placement of the feeder, not the feeder. Hope this helps 😊😎 , Bob
