I have seen some very good players like this in France. You can go high with hitting style
Well, personally I think this recommendation is for people with greater strength, perhaps. I used to train with a Stiga WRB back in the day (20 years ago) and it was pretty light. Played with it and got to National Level II Player of China by winning a city-level tournament. I recently came back to the game and tried Viscaria. Not enough control. Switched to Nittaku Basaltec Innerforce, loved it. Paired it with Hurricane National version for forehand and D64 for backhand, weighed 179g. It felt so heavy, and perhaps had something to do with the center of gravity of the blade being closer to the head. Then switched it to G1 and S1, and now it weighs 171g. Feels awesome now. Honestly, if you're not pro player with consistent away from the table play, a lighter blade is much much better since it allows for faster recovery and acceleration, which would more than compensate for a less dense blade. After all, it is all a matter of preference.
I was searching for a video about light rubbers und then the new video from emratthich😂
I like a medium weight racket the most. It makes me put more effort into a forehand topspin and prevents me from having a bad technique. Sometimes it is hard to play my backhand but with some weight training for the forearms it doesn't feel too heavy
175 grams, new harder and heavier rubbers coming on christmas. Estimated weight: 183-185 grams. My current set up is a bit lighter than i need. I need more power.
Yes indeed the centre of gravity will give you the sense of ‘heavy’ or ‘light’ one .. I prefer light blade as I like to play close to the table .. thank you coach
Coach, you should cover Lin Yun Ju’s racket and how it affects his playstyle. God bless from the Philippines! 🇵🇭
Thank you, coach. I am already using a Xiom AZXi, 91 grams, with both Xiom Omega VII PRO. 185 grams total. I'm very happy with the combination. Regards from Lima, Perú.

Hey man where did you buy it? I'm looking for some paddles here in Peru but no chances atm :(
Thank you very much for giving these knowlodge 🙏🏼🌹
This is great advice. Thanks for sharing
When I was a beginner, my favourite blade weighed 160g (maximum thickness medium sponge rubbers, but quite light blade), now I prefer 178-184g (a little bit harder rubber, normal weight blades with soft/medium touch). Rubbers with 45-48 degree sponge hardness give me the most confidence (Nittaku Fastarc C-1, Victas VJC > 07 Sticky Extra, Andro Hexer Grip/Powergrip). I will try to develop my technique further to handle rackets with around 190g weight effectively as well.
Hi, it's me again. I just remembered to my earlier comment, and I'm here to tell, that I am having progress. I have many rackets heavier than before, and after training to execute swings with those, my game got noticeably more stable and powerful. My current rackets: Yinhe Pro Feeling + max. Rakza Z both sides (196g), Yinhe U1-VB + max DHS GoldArc 8 (50 degree) both sides (195g), DHS Power G12 + 2.2mm Hurricane 8 (39 degree) both sides (192g).
great video coach.. before even watching this , i have found out my fav weight is about 193-195 grams.. because physics. F=MA. force equals mass times acceleration. and i think you summarized thie needs very well.
i just upgraded to a new bat few weeks ago last one was 178 g with huison blade and taiji t88 rubbers but this one is 170g with tibhar champ and rakza 7 and valmo 1.8 mm rubbers and honestly its way more balanced for me before these 2 i had one for 198 g which was a commercial premade racket and it was honestly really hard for me to control placement in that and make backhand topsin as I am most a backhand attacker who is transitioning to forehand now. with the new racket it is honestly so much fun to grip the ball and make fine adjustments to my placement without losing much of topsin and it is easier on the flicks as well but I still have to practice more as most of the times I end up overhitting the ball and it goes out of the table
My racket is 179 grs. Blade: Butterfly Matsushita Power Defence FH: Victas VS 401, 1,8mm BH: Dr. Neubauer Troublemaker OX Greetings from Belgrade, Serbia. Before same setup with Dr. Neubauer BULLDOG was only 135 grs. I had to change because I play mid distance defense, twiddling...
I started playing with Stiga Offensive Classic with Yasaka Rigan 2.0 on both sides, then tried H3 on forehand for 4 months, then Yasaka Rakza Z on forehand, then Yasaka Mark V on backhand, then switched to Avalox P500 blade which is my current setup at 184 grams. My next upgrade will be Yasaka Mark V HPS on backhand, but I am in no rush to change equipment. I think its smart to take small steps into your level and I have found the speed, flexibilty, hardness, control etc. that I like right now. Mark V rubbers are light weight, so it is good to pair with the heavy rubber of Rakza Z.
My racket this is 198 gr I used a timo boll With rasanter 53(forehand) and rasanter 50(backhand) very heavy, but this feeling is really good
I am curious about serving... Does a heavy setup/blade give you more advantages ? I believe that the serving and receive is a huge part of the game, a lot of points are decided at this stage. Service is one of my strong points and I find that very heavy setups do not allow me to be as deceptive as I can be with a lighter one. Then again I don't mean feather light ! But on a reverse pendulum, you can can be much faster with a lighter version... my opinion and my "feel" in any case. What do you say ? On the receive side of the things a heavy racket will provide better control and more spin on the return... I believe.
Great video again. I would also love to hear your opinion about the current hexagon shape frames and its claimed benefit of increased effective sweet spot!
I use all wood , a stiga allround blade . Is not fast but is light and quick. I got a fast racket with Carbon , i love how the power goes into the ball but i make more mistake with the fast Carbon .
What the actual hell, I was just wondering about that last week.
I have an Stiga Emerald 5-ply of 94 gram, and a Stiga Rosewood 7-ply of 88 gram. Which one would be best/easiest for amateur player to play with? I am afraid of choosing too heavy blade.
My racket's weight is 211.7 g balance point is near a sweet spot and it's work well for this time.
MY BLADE: Butterfly Diode V, weight 98g and i use: Butterfly Feint Long 3 (0.5) and Andro Plaxon 450 (max) total 190g
My racket is 194g I have dhs neo tg2 on forehand and xiom Vega x on a victas blade.
Hello , my paddle is al Yasaka Ma Lin soft carbon,Rubber Dr Neubauer explosion Pro 2.2 and Tibhar Nimbus Delta S Max 185 grm
I just weighed my homemade pen hold bat at 153 g. It seems easier to create more spin.
Hello Coach, i was wondering if you could do an updated version of forehand and backhand rubbers. There are a lot of new ones like dignics or rakza z which i can imagine would be could alternatives to H3.

hello sir, i want to ask, what is the suitable weight for a beginner penholder? thnx u sir
I think it's a matter of personal taste. After I quit for a entire year due to Covid-19 I feel muscle paint after a while when FH/BH transition or back flicking /bh. OTOH new trend rubbers become harder&harder, denser so heavier too, so it's almost imposible to choose any light but solid combo with enough speed. My last setup was close to the 200gr range, but I think I'll go back to my light acoustic in order to prevent injuries until I get used once again with proper training.

A very light blade weight for SK7. It's hard to find one lighter then 90gr.
Very interesting the kind of infos we see nowhere else. How do you find easily the center of gravity , i tried but it is not so easy. Thank you.
My racket is about 186gr now previously it's 191gr using Yinhe Jupiter 2 rubber, but i feel too heavy so i change to mercury euro 3 now it is 186.
so that it is balanced how much weight the blade will weigh if my rubber is tenergy 05
I prefer a medium weight blade. I also like thick rubber with good dwell time - I've had good success with Hurricane II. But I plan to play some with Joola Dynaryz AGR (red). I have tried super-light blade before and felt like I gave up control and attack. Have also tried heavy blade but moved back to medium. Thanks for the video.

@@blueheart9873 I actually like it a lot. I have in on a 5-ply wood Andro Gauzy blade. I get plenty of power and control plus exceptional spin. I'm now mostly using a newer Andro Gauzy blade with carbon with Andro rubber on both sides (Rasanter on one side and Hexer on the other). It actually gives me a little more power (speed) with no noticeable loss of control. But sometimes I still pull out the 5-ply wood with the Joola Dynartz on it. The Dynartz is great rubber.

How's your experience with Fextra/Rakza7 ? I have an unused Fextra blade (just 83g) that I'd like to try with some medium-hard rubber and R7 comes to mind first. My game is spin oriented mid-distance. Backhand close to the table is where I struggle most.
@rvde1307
Жыл бұрын
Hi Alexander, I love playing R7 on my backhand and especially on the Fextra blade because it gives me good feeling and control when blocking topspin balls from my opponents . The fextra is a (in my opinion) fast but controlable blade with a little flex. Topspin balls, in my case with R7 on the backhand, are very easy to play on the Fextra. This combination creates a lot of spin. But keep in mind it's only my opinion. I hope this will help you a little.

In table tennis it is more correct to say blade then racket even though it is a racket sport. The weight is not just the blade, the rubber affects the total weight. Racket is commonly used in tennis and badminton. For the penhold it is much easier to play with light blade and rubbers. There is so much stress on the wrist with heavier blades. Although the heavier blade is usually thicker, it is easier for penhold grip.
