@@jennybmusic-thejennyb758 I've seen hundreds of CCC videos, and watched some of them hundreds of time. I LOVE this group and everything about it. I appreciate the joy, but I think quality matters as well. I think they should have changed the key, or re-arranged the parts to support the upper voices better. Or told those who thought they could hit those upper notes, maybe re-assign parts. I think we have some Dunning-Kruger going on here, musically, people who think they are doing great because they don't have the ear to realize they're not doing great. A true friend is someone who will tell you when an outfit is not flattering. This video is not flattering to CCC.

@@nmappraiser9926 what possible motivation would you have for posting such a negative comment? do you think DaBu are going to take the video down because it's not up to your standard of quality? do you think DaBu are going to somehow change the way they conduct choir? this is a casual bar choir. it's made up of whoever walks in. re-arranging the parts on the fly is not practical. they do try and re-assign singers but they're not that strict about it because the whole point is to get together for the joy of singing. particularly as this night was the first local event after more than two years, I think the energy of reconnecting outweighed any desire to be persnickety about the right voices in the right places. Dunning-Kruger occurs when a person's lack of knowledge and skills in a certain area cause them to overestimate their own competence. if you're saying that DaBu have Dunning-Kruger you underestimate their musical competence and besides they're simply presenting the work, not saying it's the best ever. they may well agree with your assessment that the voices are a little pitchy, but THAT'S NOT THE POINT. if you're saying that other YT commenters have Dunning-Kruger, the vast majority of them are simply fans saying they like the work. they're not presenting it as their own, so Dunning-Kruger doesn't apply. that they may not have the most competent musical ear is irrelevant; they like what they like and they shouldn't be disparaged for it. your opinion that this video is not flattering to CCC is your own. perhaps it has its sonic flaws; that is a matter of personal opinion. but these works are not about having the best sound...it's about documenting people having the best experience.

@@TheSpupEh No, I don't want them to take it down. I'm glad they had a good time. My reference to Dunning Kruger is referring to the self-selected musicians who maybe should be gently guided to easier parts more within their range. I am a huge fan of this channel and their efforts. But I'm also a musician, and I'm expressing my opinion (it's not wholly subjective; tune and pitch are measurable) that there are some issues with this one. And I'll repeat this: quality matters. My motivation in this comment is to indicate my disappointment, as a fan. Also, as a musician, to suggest possible changes, such as making sure people can sing their parts, selecting arrangements that are suitable for the personnel. It's really not hard to change the key of a song for vocalists. It's not that much harder to fix an arrangement on the fly. Good groups do it all the time. I think Choir Choir Choir is a good group.
