I love that you used arrowroot rather than corn starch. I agree that body butters are more for winter use. At least for me. Thanks for sharing, it looks wonderful.

I've made similar products for years and use them in my families hair and on the skin. The stand mixer is great. I normally use an emersion blender and achieve a beautiful, silky, fluffy texture.

Thank you very much for posting this. I suffer from Actinic Keratosis, a pre-cancerous skin condition from being left out in the blistering hot sun with no sunblock when I was a toddler in Texas. I am very light-skinned and had to be hospitalized. This recipe is a healing one for me, bless you sister! Keep the videos coming, I subscribed :) ***** 5 Stars

I really enjoy watching and listening to your videos, lots of great information. I love making whipped body butters with raw organic ingredients, I just let the natural scents come out and I add a bit of cocoa powder to give color and additional scent and benefits. I have had some collapse though, but it was scorching hot outside and they were just standing on a shelf, so I agree with you, that they are best used in the winter.

TheQueenrevolution I used to refrigerate it to let it stiffen then I’d mix it with a hand mixer. But now I add soft Shea butter to my melted butters then whip it in a kitchenaid stand mixer. I’d add shea butter as necessary.

Fabulous!!! I made it this morning and it's every bit as fluffy as it looks in the video, like a cloud. I was out of Argon oil so I substituted Hazelnut oi. I used the unrefined Shea and Cocoa butters as she stated. I had regular brown Mica and it worked fine. I can't use fragrances so wasn't able to incorporate that. I have many intolerances (things like scents thickeners/emulsifiers/glycerin & preservatives...the list goes on and on so have been looking for a body butter without any of those things and this is IT. All of my homemade products are made in small containers that have to be frozen and used as needed which, surprisingly, works pretty well. Now I can't wait to use it all so I can try some tweeks, just because. There was a little hitch in my git-along upon signing up to her site to order the recipe (system thing) and she handled it immediately & professionally. Just like her videos. Well done! Now to see if she has others that I can use or modify...I'm hooked.

Thank you so much for the lovely body butter recipe. I've also found that the scent of unrefined shea butter can vary from supplier to supplier. I recently got a sample from a new Canadian distributor out of Ontario and found it to be a sharp musky scent versus the more familiar soft musk that is typical of the local brand of shea butter that I regularly buy. :)Jen

I've made loads of body products over the years and honestly I would rather have the minimal amount of preservative needed than risk nasties / mould growing in my products......not all natural is good or safe and not all synthetic is bad, in fact synthetic ingredients go through rigorous safety testing where as natural ingredients usually have no safety testing at all.....

@Hibiscus Syriacus very true..my concern though is when products like scrubs are used there is a good chance that some water can enter the container either wet hands or even people using products while in the shower...that's the worry I have, not so much before the product is opened...
