Randy Briegoos please tell me that every type of hamster can eat these type of food because I’m worried about my future hamster (I had one which died a year ago) because I’m worried if my hamster gets sick if it eats our human food like the bananas, nuts and sesames because it says that if hamsters eat nuts it’s not good for them but I want my hamster to have a good healthy life... Syrian hamsters can live 3 years, 4 if provided extra love. Vanilla lived 4 years so I doubt Butterscotch is dead.

Butterscotch has passed away too (it would be over 3 years old now, hamsters don't live that long). It was a good hamster but nowhere near Vanilla's kindness, cleverness and talent. Basically a very difficult hamster to make good videos with. That's why there are so few videos of Butterscotch. Now he, too, has passed and I believe VanillaHamHam is reluctant to get another hamster to continue with the channel.

​@@otto.x5328 Butterscotch's age is mentioned in the KZread channel, the Butterscotch playlist. It was half a year old in January of 2019, which means it would now be over 3 years old. As for the personality thing, it's common after having a very good pet like Vanilla to be disappointed in it's successor. Their personalities are very different and the videos with Butterscotch (the taming video and taking treats video) show they do not have the same bond as they had with Vanilla. Hamsters have different personalities too, some are kind and easy to tame, others aren't.

Just checking on my childhood :) But what happened? I'm so sorry what happened to Vanilla but are you and Butterscotch okay:(

We really care for you and want to know if you are okay🥺❤️ Edit: I just realized that you got Butterscotch in 2018 so if they has passed my condolences. Butterscotch lived an amazing life and you don’t have to return to KZread if you prefer.

I discovered this channel long after the original hamster, Vanilla, passed on. I’m not sure what happened but I do hope things are well with Vanilla and Butterscotch’s owner. Sadly, Butterscotch is now deceased. I say this because of the lifespan of a Syrian hamster being only 2-3 years. That’s a huge problem with hamsters, they don’t live long enough. May they both Rest In Peace. 🐹❤️

Who knows if butterscotch did die? You never know. Yes it is true Butterscotch would probably be dead it’s 97/100 chance (Imo) but your not the owner. Syrian Hamsters can live 3 years. Has it been 3? No. You can’t make assumptions
