I saw her in Kiss of the Spider Woman when the tour stopped by Los Angeles back in 1996. She was amazing! I waited at the stage door to get her autograph and she was so petite! I told her I love her Anita on the original Broadway cast recording of West Side Story. She said, "Oh that was way before you were even thought of," poking fun at her own age. We all laughed. She signed my poster and got into her limo. The stage door to the Ahmanson Theatre where the show was playing is very out of the way and sort of hidden so most people don't know where it is. I knew where it was from the days of seeing The Phantom of the Opera there and wanting to get the autographs of the cast a few years back so I was the only one and didn't have to compete with a bunch of people for her attention. She was so nice and approachable. I will never forget that moment.
Just love her!! I looked up to her as a performer growing up. She is definitely royalty ❤👸💃🏾
Chita was a great Broadway star... I met her on tour. Gracious and kind.
