Koreans applied right strategy to keep the shuttle low against tall players. They also placed the shuttle in open spaces unlike many doubles players who keep returning to players and get whacked..Intelligent play.

They lost to mohamad ahsan and setiawan last year in france last 16 and they lost to kim astrup and rasmusssen in world championship quarter finals, lost to koga and saito in singapore first round . Rankireddy has become good at front court.. probably because he's been guided to do so by coaches.. to be a balanced player.. But yes, I miss his ripping smashes.

I didnt expected such a game in second set. This is not singles match. In singles match, first set winner tries to save energy by slowing down the 2nd set & pulls some opponents energy. So that he can take advantage in 3rd set. In doubles, this strategy wont work.
