I was born in 1974. A fair weather fan of the show back in the day (I was a kid). However, to this day, whenever there are lane block-ups or just too many folks on the road...I call it "CHiPs traffic," very slow, very steady. My wife and I enjoy that time while driving. I always start with the "tee, ta-ta-tee" high hat symbol sound...then look in my rear-view mirror for an out-of-control van. At 48 years old...it passes the time in traffic.

There were a couple of episodes where they did get dirty. They know that comes with the job. They never were hesitant about that. They were waiting for the criminal to come out at the other end. When they saw he detoured, trying to escape, then they went into the muddy area to pursue.
waktu kecil gue suka banget sama film chips duduk paling depan nonton TV nya
Look at Sarge on Dodge Monaco...

AMC Matador is hardly what was considered a “muscle car”. More of a people mover, like a ford Ltd or a Chevy caprice. Believe Matadors might have been used as cop cars in “Adam 12”
A small continuity issue at about 2:37 when they take a wide shot of the chase and Getraer pulls along side the drivers side of the speeding car, but the next show of the driver of the speeding car and Getraer is nowhere to be seen. I loved this show.

Looked like the Matador smacked the rear of the Monaco about 6 seconds later but they cut it quickly
Good luck going that fast in California.

This was the early 80s. While I have never been there, I have to think that this was more believable back when it was originally filmed. Damned urban sprawl.
Beast Show still!!!
The Kawasaki KZ 900 C & KZ 1000 C Police Motorcycles where awesome but they never gotten the KZ 1000 P Police bikes since the show was cancelled doring the final series season.
Imagine all the people🎵
Time to get down and dirty! 😎
No wonder they have so many traffic jams in cali...everyone drives freakin' 10 mph!!
Nobody texting and driving.
Awesome 👍 😁
Lendary. I liked.
EPISODE SPOILER - They wrote him up for tinted windows and a dirty/covered front plate.
I don't see how Ponch and JON had any right to search this guy's car without a warranty,.Regardless, if I'm driving down the highway with drugs on my seat, I'll be DAMN if I'm gonna drive so reckless as to get caught, pulled over, with drugs sitting in a bag on my front seat. !! Kinda makes this episode more comical than Believable!!!
Anybody else notice that when the shot is the interior of the car, the windsshield is cracks, when it is an exterior shot, no crack.
O pessoal por Deus posta aí esse filme completo em português pra mim axistir pois eu tio com muitas saudades eu gosto muito do filme chips 😎Posta ai🙏🍀💚😄😄😄🏆🏆🏆
S02E21? You mean EVERY season and EVERY episode?
This is what might happen if real life drivers mimic that of their tv counterparts. Then heads will start rolling and tears start flowing.
Young scotty kilmer, before there youtube, he was troubled? Becoming a top youtube mechanic straightened his life up.
Que serial más bacán que recuerdos
In the first couple seasons they rode at real speed on the freeway sometimes, getting up to 80 or 90..then Ponch had that awful accident and after that they never rode fast.
Ah yes the good ol' days. Before the post chase beat downs.
Need you now im your life time friend
