Chino -- Residential (WM)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Here's some of the few garbage trucks that Waste Management of the Inland Empire runs in Chino. Despite having mostly newer "Think Green, Think Clean" garbage trucks, all the drivers in the city are extremely fast and are very fun to watch.
(0:00) - 103538: Back in July, we went to Chino to see what was working there now. We headed into the route area and quickly saw this truck with our buddy Scott Kennedy behind the wheel. He's a relief driver in Chino and also does bulk/carts/dumpsters over the week. It was great to see him in an Amrep as he sure revs the truck very nice! I've always wanted to see these 2011 Amreps revved hard so glad I finally got to catch that.
(3:40) - 264025: We were hoping to see the Condors in Chino, so Scott pointed us in the direction of where one was working. As we were headed there, we saw this beauty drive by and chased it down. Chino had Sylvester doing bulk for the day in their new frontline bulk truck. Previously, Chino had a Autocar WXLL/Leach but that was sent back to Moreno Valley and this was made their new bulk truck. Anyway, this truck looks amazing since I last saw it. Love the new rims and it honestly looks like Chino repainted the cab again.
(4:58) - 264024: Here's the truck we spent a good portion of the day looking for. We came back to Chino after hunting in Eastvale and finally saw this truck on Condor Avenue coincidentally. Really fun truck with a great driver behind the wheel, Jaime Razo. 20+ year employee who started out at Western Waste's Chino division and told us about the Heil STARRs that he used to drive before getting an ASL when Chino started getting the "Think Green, Think Clean" trucks. I could've watched this truck all day with how Jaime revved. It was very entertaining and I've always liked how these CNG conversions sound. Very smooth operation too considering Jaime drives an ASL regularly. On this 108 degree day, one thing I remember well was how I would get a nice blast of heat from the exhaust pipe every time Jaime revved and I was standing on the side of the truck.
(14:49) - 605131: We coincidentally stumbled upon Sylvester again in the cart truck for Chino while filming Jaime. Pretty neat way of collecting white goods and delivering carts.
(15:06) - 631560: Passed through Chino on the way to Corona on another trip and happened to see Scott in yet another truck! Old school ex-Western Waste truck that still has the old USA Waste of California logos on it. This is Chino's frontline dumpster truck and it sure looks neat.
Thanks to all the awesome drivers for letting us film & keeping Chino clean for over 20 years! Congrats on the 15 year extension - you guys deserve it!

Another great video WMmaster626, your Chino video came out great. I was glad we found Scott again, every time we find him he is in a different truck and he operates it great. The Peterbilt Amrep was no exception, that was fun to watch and Scott gave it a great rev. I just cannot get over how great those Wittke/Leach Condors look. That was fun finding one on bulk, certainly unique. Jaime sure knew how to rev and did a great job especially considering he is a ASL driver normally. I was glad you had some clips of the burgundy carts too. That ex Western Waste dumpster truck was great, it was bleeding so much orange when we walked next to it while it was parked. Chino was a great trip and certainly one of the hottest days we have gone on route.

Thanks! Scott sure is a talented guy being able to drive all those trucks well. I'm really hoping we can find a Chino Condor in MoVal, Corona, or Baldwin Park territory soon. Chino sure was great! Crazy the two times we went out to Chino they were both blazing hot days lol

Boy was I not expecting that type of revving from a CNG WM Amrep! That gear tingle also made it sound super retro and reminded me of LA's old Pete Amreps. I also really like 264025's carry can and how damn wide it is... perfect for large bulk items for sure. As always 024's revving is great but sucks how slow it is even when being revved. I didn't notice it before but that unit in particular really sounds like one of LA's LNG Ellipticals. 631560 is also a super cool looking dumpster truck. I like how its a single axel like GI's Mack MR dumpster drop off truck. Despite having filmed in chino before, another great compilation!

Yeah I love those older Petes! Wish they bought more of those than the Autocars... I have a hunch that Chino MAY have replaced 024's Curotto Can recently with a newer one so hopefully it is faster. Thanks!

And another awesome video Aaron!!! Keep them coming! I'm surprised that Scott took that "tree cart" at 3:10! And wow, Sylvester's truck looks almost brand new! Any idea how old the Condors are? I also love the way Jamie revs his truck! It seems like his truck doesn't have that much power even when he revs it. Is that just my observation or did you notice that too?

Thanks bro! Haha yeah I was surprised but happy he took it, made for a good clip! Those Condors are 2003 units actually! The revving was very entertaining, but definitely agree with you on speed. The arm has always been slow on this Curotto unit unfortunately :(

Another great compilation! All trucks were entertaining! AboutSylvester, how does he drive two different trucks in the same day?! And USA waste of California, I’ve seen that on a lot of newer trucks recently, is it something new or has it always been like that?

Thanks man, bulk isn't very heavy so when Sylvester finishes bulk he hops into the pickup and does carts and white goods. Sometimes him or Scott can take three trucks out in a day (dumpster delivery plus bulk and carts)! Yeah it's a new requirement for DOT so all the yards have to add the new signage for what they are registered under.
