I understand that! They're a difficult breed that can have health problems and need an owner who knows how to be the alpha, much like huskies. We have found they are incredibly loyal, fun to play with, lazy as all get out, and wonderful for families and kids.

I have owned a number of Shar-pei. The only negative I can tell you about this breed is high vet bills and some possible health problems. Otherwise awesome dog.

They are cute when small but the wrinkles disappear after the grow up.

Brush coats grow into their wrinkles more than horse coats, but horse coats secrete an oil that can make people break out in hives.

What's that around mum and dads neck ?
