chinese new year with locals (in china)
My friend Dean kindly invited me over to her family's apartment in Chongqing to celebrate the Chinese New Year with them. It involved lots of local dishes, mahjong, drinking games and plenty of baijiu - Chinese rice wine.

That was quite tame in comparison. There are far more obscure things to eat here which I dare not try. (The 100 year old egg for starters…)
