A wonderful intro to Chinese landscape painting. Of course, there is also the "cultural tie-in" to consider with Gary Snyder's "Mountains and Rivers Without End" at the Smithsonian. Thank you!

Ancient Chinese landscapes painting🖼 so beautiful and elegant. Masterpieces 🤍So elegant…love the masterpieces traditional Arts of China. It’s shows the original beauty classic style come from. The Modern day people should always have the Class of mindset. We can always be loud and rush …… but there’s beauty of calmness in ancient philosophy.

I wonder if there can be a focus in the near future on landscapes from the Guilin region.

The 10th century Dong Yuan’s River bank or this a forgery of Zhang Da Chiang. The dwellers facial expressions and body gesture egoism in the hut under the river bank betray its author as well as the chaotic water flow with no strategy. And sloppy undisciplined unfinished tiles on the hut. Recommend Zhang’s own at the end of the show removed. Recommend the ageing silk certified for dating. Keep the authentic art or destroy it for the high morality of the true smile from master Dong Yuan.
