What a lovely episode!! Chinese hospitality is legendary but very few Indians know about it. Thanks to you, we all could see it! The kindness and humility of your host's family is mind blowing! They literally poured all of their love to you. A wonderful heartwarming experience. Her aunt was absolutely right - you must visit them again! That's their love for you bro! The steamed buns that you had for dinner at the village, is called baozi. This is now my favorite series! Nothing will beat this series. Not Iran either!

This how civilized and friendly the Chinese people are even most Indians see China as enemy. But the common Chinese people still so friendly to Indian lone traveler and treated him with respect and as importance guest. I can't say the same for Chinese travel to India will get the same treatment and respect like this. They don't even treat their own nationality from Northeast region that look like Chinese eqaully. They called them chinky which it is very insulting.

feels my heart with joy to see how common people are so similar every where, such caring, down to earth, genuine and going about their day to day life. Rice wine, bamboo shoot, chicken salad, sticky rice in leaf are also some of the stable dishes here in north east india especially that rice beer, bamboo shoot and sticky rice... I just love it... And that sticky rice is served with milk and jaggery/sugar here... It is a traditional food during bihu ..

Though the dishes look simple but the food are definitely cooked fresh and healthy from farm to kitchen table. Vegetable are organically grown and chicken and other farm animals are not 'farm' raised but free to roam on the pastures. Family are so generous and hospitable to guest.

I loved this family, they are really nice human beings. Boundary makes Nations but all humans are same. If we love them, they will love us beyond the boundaries. Thanks for this video.

I have personally experienced similar hospitality of the Chinese people during my several business travels across China from 2006 - 2018, having worked in china for two years from 2006-2008. The Chinese are basically very simple and hard working people following similar family traditions like ours. They respect human values similar to us and will open up their hearts when they feel this reciprocated . I had the personal experience of spending the Chinese new year holiday season with a friends family in rural China and it was the most beautiful and humbling experience i will cherish throughout my life. People should travel, and see and experience other countries and their people first hand and then form an impression and not just by reading the newspaper. The greatest learning is in traveling and the youth should be encouraged to take sabbaticals in order to travel the world as this would only make our world a better place to live.

Probably the human psychology does get affected when they refer China, they are referring to their government but subconsciously China made of its people. Relations were very good until the mid fifties. Since then China has had a policy of extending their circle of influence to neighbouring countries, and claiming lands which allegedly belonged to them in historical times. In the current situation, china is a leading military, financial, manufacturing and commercial power in the world. That being said, their disputes with neighbouring countries continue. It's a matter of their international policies. The people per se may have a soft corner for india and indian culture, but that hardly matters to the government.

I am from Odisha, here too fermented rice water is common, though not packaged. I think some eastern Indian & NE cuisines have such similarities to East Asian diet. @@allthings185 Pakistan is a ver conservative society so I don't think it's very bad in Pakistan. In india, there is a no islamic laws, it's complete freedom to wear or do anything and girls don't do anything here.

It's in human nature that we greet guests well. The village landscape was great. The round rice +vegetable dish seemed like Nepalese momos that is popular in India. Chinese are foodies. They love their recipes very much and it can be cooked easily with very few spices and oil. Keep/happy travelling. TC.....🌹☺️
