Blue sky isn’t part of advanced infrastructure, clean no, Anmol bhai said there are garbage thrown by tourists. Normally clean because of Tibetan plateau is size of half of the Europe with only 6 million which is similar to population of Switzerland so Tibet is not dense populated country.

Gyantse has historical significance for India-Tibet trade relations. The second trading post was established here in 1908 (?) or so. The first was at Yatung, which is close to Nathu La in Sikkim. The route from Yatung joins Gyantse. Gyantse was also where the Younghusband invasion of Tibet in 1904 faced considerable resistance here. Wish you had stopped at the two famous gompas of Shigatse. In April 1944 two German Prisoners of War escaped from Dehradun camp and crossed into Tibet over Tsong Chok La pass From Kyirong their route followed yours to some extent and it took them about 1 year and 9 months to reach Lhasa on foot. A book was written by Heinric Harrer called Seven Years in Tibet. A film was later made. Yours too is a fascinating and breathtaking journey.
