Chinese Funded Railway Nears Completion in Nigeria

A Chinese funded standard gauge railway construction project that connects the Nigerian federal capital Abuja with the country's central commercial hub Kaduna, is nearing completion and is expected to reduce road congestion and the time it takes to travel between the two points. The Abuja Kaduna line, scheduled to be completed by December 2014, is co-funded by the China Exim bank and the government of Nigeria. And as CCTV's Peter Wakaba reports this project is just one of many that are transforming lives in Nigeria.

And a Great leader he was too. Do you know he made his government drive only one type of economical car and he himself used to cycle to work while in office. How many of those over-fed greedy intellectually challenged drones thoughout our beloved nation of the Motherland can even dare touch a bicycle or know that there are such vehicles as economically priced non-luxury types. What an Afrikan idealist Sankara was, we need more such as he. And they will come as the Universe wills it. We will not all be zombie brain-dead slaves forever. Why are Europeans not happy with the success of the Chinese in Africa? I studied in Europe 2 years ago. Almost all European I had economy-related discussion with, try to make believe the Chinese are milking Africa. I always tell tell them that we are better of with the Chinese and the Russians whose relationship is strictly mutual and they show respect to us. From my experience only a few European countries can be worth working with. The rests are nothing more than potato farms. The Chinese haters who have commented are probably from one these farms.

China and Japan when the bidding of high-speed rail suddenly came to a problem on the border between China and India. China voluntarily withdrew from the bidding and finally learned that Japan's high-speed rail bid three times higher than China and 50 years of 0 interest. Japan and India's media did not report . Only China Enterprises announced the tender figures, I believe the two governments willfully provoke the border issue between China and India from corruption and black money The people are always cheated and india government control the media to hate China. This is the purpose of the Japanese and Indian governments for embezzlement. Therefore, the United States and Russia will only find China's to built train railway,China has opened up its technology to 102 countries,Japan's Shinkansen currently has only Taiwan overseas, good luck Indians . Japan's maintenance fee is the world's most expensive, and not open technology, the government manipulated the media brainwashing , Japan and Indian government never ending corruption and black money. Global as we all know, cracking down corruption is a top priority in China

Then why the white mindset, you're implying the exact same things as the white supremacists say about China in Africa. Or maybe you're not. You inform us that a Chinese person is in control of a Chinese company (as though that is being hidden) and then you imply that they are in charge of the whole thing. What "whole thing" are they in charge of other than the company that they admit to being in charge of? Then you finish by saying we should trust you as though you've got some hidden knowledge that nobody else who watched the video (and therefore already saw a Chinese person in charge of a Chinese company) has got.

A lot of people who are talking about self reliance need to remember that the way how China is helping Africa is the same way that Japan helped China in the late 1970s the Japanese introduced the machines and things during China's economic restructuring the Chinese paid the Japanese in resources to have them bullied those things (sounds familiar) so to truly gage how this is gonna be we need to look at the next 10 or 20 years after the Chinese leave and see what the Africans make of what the Chinese did for them can they now produce the machines a ducats their population and have Health care I think so because China is trying to address all of these problems by sending teachers to African countries and by sending Africans to Chinese university's like I said looming over the last 15 years Africa really seems to want to get it right this time and by the looks of it I think they are doing a fine job

People speaking of Britain & France, etc, in the colonial days.19th Century Europe was very different to 21st Century Europe. For one thing Colonialism benefited the small elite percentage of the populations. Ordinary people in Britain & elsewhere couldn't stop it, they had no education,as they had no power to do & no Labour Party then, by the way. All working-class people were against colonialism, once they knew about it.If you weren't of a high-class, people ignored you or despised you.Men couldn't progress if they were low-class in industry. Workers were beaten in steel-mills for slacking, like in the mills owned by Andrew Carnegie. Women had no say in that society & only after mass-protests, they were allowed the vote. Most men joined the army to escape poverty, as it was better to die in a foreign country than it was in the gutter starving.'Real change came after WW2. China became communist in 1949. I sure the Chinese government in the 19th Century would have colonised & enslaved Africans if they were as powerful as paths British. China then was an imperial state& had surfdom over peasants & at the time in Europe servitude was still going on or was just about abolished in general. So how can an elite blue-blooded bunch of whites from that time, know any better, if they enslaved & savagely, mistreated their own people? It was normal to put penniless people in workhouses, to make them slaves in the houses, To enforce servitude upon people, in those days. The Japanese enslaved & brutalised their Oriental brethren, the Chinese, the Koreans & others for years. People, life moves on & so do people. The new people are different to their predecessors.I'm happy that the Chinese are restoring infrastructure back onto the Nigerian Railways. Here's to a better future all over the world.

Good development anyway, because i don't want to sound sarcastic, at least better than when some crazy idiots steal the money. But for God's sake, such backward people, imagine celebrating this type of rail system in this century. But wetin be the problem sef with this country?

Chinese-funded railway in Nigeria. Hmm, Why didn't the Chinese help Nigerians when England invaded Nigeria and killed thousands in 1392?
