Once he dropped out of their financial class / status and went to a lower level it would be seen as a bad thing socially, and there your social status is what gets you work etc. So his friends wouldnt want to appear to be in a lower class than they are and cut off contact with him

@@Help22222 This is a misconception westerners always had. KZread, Google, Facebook and such social media platforms aren’t “banned” as illegal in China. They’re just not automatically put in the system and the regular access routes are cut from Chinese browsing websites. They can still access western social platforms, media, browsers and all the websites by using a VPN. No they won’t get caught or fined for doing so since it’s not agains’t mainland’s laws. There’s a ton of Chinese youtubers from the mainland making profit on KZread as of the moment speaking. Though only some have gotten their channels big enough.

I really love and admire people who are like him, making the best of any situation, living more freely, more frugally, and minimalistic, also. Taking and enduring things as they come. Maybe in 5 years from now, he has another profession/occupation, maybe he will live in a fantastic flat, a house in the suburbs or in a cabin in the woods, but I'm sure that wherever he chooses to be, he will be happy with the path he has selected.

Since I've been living in China (8 years now) one thing I learnt about Chinese men is that many of them are excellent cooks! My best friend's husband and father-in-law make the most delicious Chinese food and as I'm a foreigner, they learnt how to make my favourite western dishes too and when I visit their homes, I am always treated to most delicious homecooked meals. My mouth is watering just thinking about it...and all the dishes are cooked in the most simplest of kitchens with the most simplest of utensils. I am amazed every time when I visit their homes. I am truly lucky!

Imagine stopping at a stop light, look to your left, and see a man in his truck cooking food in the seat next to him.

I'm a truck driver and I can tell you that nobody has time for this I don't know how trucking works in China but in America this doesn't work

Self-sufficient, neat & organized, hard-working, adaptable individuals deserve my respect.

I really respect the job as driver.... salute 2 u... my dad is also a driver and he works hard to feed us ..many people think its not nice and make fun of it but 1 thing to remind that it feed a whole family and save us from being starve...i love you dad and take care of yourself... i am proud to be your daughter

Chinese have more platforms than English Channel. We have Weibo/Twitter; Douyin/tiktok belongs to their mother company; Kuaishou, similar as tiktok; so many. Don’t bother to use money to pay VPN to use KZread. And language he maybe not use English too.

@@InnerFire6213 Chinese version somewhat like that is bilibili, which Chinese young generation call it B station, in comparison with another app: acfun, young Chinese call it A station, the bilibili rewards metrics like KZread, get cash out by likes and coins and the numbers viewed etc. also, the big blogger get commercial ads including big brands. Some also have big names in wechat etc, a lot of different cash out ways.

It's strange how in the west people are constantly complaining about the size of their kitchens and extending them. These are kitchens that are atleast 7 meters plus in most cases. It's all about perspective and nothing is small if you put the planning and efficiency into it.

Super impressive. I’m a truck driver and I am blown away with his ingenuity and creativeness.

I was a commercial truck driver for many years and this is blowing my mind. Clearly he has the dedication to make tastier, healthier meals and no excuses for letting your health go and eating poor quality from every truck stop and fueling station.

This is a true example of how to be adaptable, kudos to this amazing man!

no wonder he has millions of viewers !!!! his positive attitude gives credence to others that nothing's impossible if you're willing and happy to do it. moreover, he finds things that can make his day go fast with less boredom and make life more interesting. one attribute that works well for him is he doesn't mind long hours of travel, provided he keeps up with staying fit physically, and as we can see, he tries to eat the right and healthy way. he has a way of making friends, sharing chats and food along the way . don't know you, but admire you the way you handle adversities and hardships in life, making it look so easy and nonchalance, even sharing your travel "diaries" to all. may your travels be safe, your goals be achieved the way you want them to be... more power to you......

I feel like it would be super interesting if he could design a better truck for truckers, like integrating a mini area for cooking and some basic appliances or a separate generator for cooking that won't drain the vehicle's batteries or use the truck's gasoline stores. He'd probably make more money off his designs too.
