I do have a small collection of Chinese coins. They along with my authenticated "widows mite", 35-60BC date range is the beginning of what I'm calling my Ancient World Coins collection. I only have 4 coins so far. But I'm working on obtaining at least 1 coin from all of the major ancient civilizations. Some cultures didn't use coins as. "currency" so it's difficult but so fascinating!!

I have one with a 982 Q 566. The seller said the coin was the real deal. The Golden Violet toning makes it look incredible. I'll show it to you at the LB coin, and I'll bring the 1911 long whisker dragon coin also so you can check them out before anyone else at the coin show next year in February.

I don't collect Chinese coins mainly because I haven't come accross any. But am not against collecting any foreign coins that cross my path.

I have obtained a few over the years with the acquisition of some foreign coin lots, but they are hard to figure out because they don't show dates that I can read. 🤣

Just found out that one of the coins I mentioned was a Qing Dynasty Emporer dated 1644-1664. Don't know what the other one is. Just wish that I could find out more about it.
