Sandpaper is made in?

check the housing bore and then the specs on the seal.. i bet the leak will be coming from around the seal OD and that is going to be hard to fix.. silicone won't seal fuels very well. you may have to get crafty. use a shaft saver that is the proper size to press into the cover bore. so the seal can be pressed inside that slightly smaller shell.. perhaps some loctite anaerobic bearing lock to hold the seal in the housing.

Just get a measurement of the shaft diameter and hole diameter and find a universal seal, and if you cant find the exact match machine down one surface or the other.

Dang that surface is rough! I get that it's cheap but it doesn't even look like a good casting lol.

You over sanded the shaft...it will always leak.

Before you put it back in . Make a mould of the seal.
