It really depends on your chinchilla, I have three, one makes no noise, the other too are extremely loud. Also depends on the cage. I would really reccommend getting two chinchillas as they are very social animals and like to have friends! Hope i helped!

Bri M there are no breeders in my area. I just got my sweet chinchilla Minchi from petsmart. He’s perfectly fine.the employees were well educated.

Nice vid, I was wondering how do u get Zorro into the carrier to take him to the tub? I just got a Chinchilla and it’s hard for me to get her into the tub without stressing her out a bit.

Bored PB&J I try to gently herd him in, or lure him with treats. Sometimes I attempt to pick him up and he gets a bit scared but he’s been getting better at it💕

Merlin is just adorable! :0 Okay, so I’m getting my own chinchilla soon! (November-ish) I don’t know anything about the chinchilla because we are going through a rescue so we will see what they have in a few months. Anyways I have a question! For playtime, I want to set up/chinchilla proof the room. I heard you say Merlin can escape the fence-like structure you had up, so is there anything you suggest that would keep a chinchilla contained? Edit: Also, I have heard that the Critter Nation cage’s bars are not strong. Is that true?

I’m pretty sure that the bars of the cage are strong. They seem at least chinchilla proof from what I’ve seen on the channel but I bet is something hard hits it they will bend but they are chew proof from what I’ve seen

@@seanima2267 the ferret nation has stronger bars that can hold ledges and wheels, the critter nation's bars will snap for most people and it's a lot weaker. i suggest the ferret nation.

Emily Sices Merlin doesn’t poop througout the day for some reason. He poops a lot more in the evenings. When I let him loose, he didn’t poop at all thankfully!💕

I have 3 chinchs and when it's time to go to the cage I just run after them with a broom. They know it means it's time to go back also they are kind of afraid and know they are safe in their cage. Also I give them treat once they came back.

Cause there was a problem with audio for those who still want to watch the rest of the video turn on subtitles so u can see majority of what she said

I have a question, I leave for college soon and my family will be taking care of my chinchilla, Calvin. I was the only one who has cared for him since I got him and I am worried he will either forget me or become “unbonded”. I know you leave during the summers, do you chinnies still remember you and everything? Is the relationship still the same?

Yes, you can let them play in the grass just make sure it isn't too hot outside or he could get overheated they're comfy in about 75-60 degrees but if its a bit colder than that he should be fine as well

Yeah getting a chin is definitely worth the price! I got all my stuff (including him and the cage) for 650$ CAN last year that’s like 489$ American. 🙂

Mya Elise I would set aside at least 600 to 800 dollars. The cage itself is about $250, the chinchilla (depending where you get it) can be $160, and accessories and supplies about an extra $150 or $200 when getting started💕

I have a whole bottom floor my chinchilla runs around and the other day my chinchilla went up upstairs and I forgot to close the door so she explored the whole house :)

I wish I could let my chins out to just run around, if I do they chew literally everything and anything they can get their teeth into, so far they’ve destroyed my dresser, my bed, my skirting boards, my flooring, desk, shoes, boxes and wat too many wires 😩 you have a well behaved little man right there. (Also the audio just cut out after 1:20)
