Its there problem, they are accepting the US sponsored goverments. So by that it appears they want a war. They have seen what the US does to countries it uses for extending its power. Ukraine has been utterly destroyed and Taiwan will get even worse treatment as the US has admited it will destroy the fab plants there.

Why does USA harass Cuba with sanctions? What has Cuba done against USA? Why can't US leave Cuba alone? Meanwhile, China does not 'want' Taiwan. China wants USA out of Taiwan. The people are the same, they travel and trade and they are fine. It is the US that wants Taiwan. No, Taiwan is not really a democracy. Since 1948 (when Chiang kai Shek, the US backed dictator escaped to this island), Taiwan has been a US-run dictatorship. Only in 1987 did it have its first elections, but they are still controlled by the military, which in turn is subservient to USA. Once US leaves Taiwan, life will go on just as it is for the Taiwanese people. China will not compromise on that. In the past China was weak, US was strong. But now US is being gutted by Democrats who are flooding it with non-English speaking immigrants. US is getting weaker. China is getting stronger. Expect US to be retreating from much of the world. US can still invade Nicaragua or Panama, or Grenada etc.

US backed a dictator in China called Chiang Kai Shek. The Chinese people ran him out, and he escaped to this island. USA protected the dictator. Taiwan was a Dictatorship (NOT A DEMOCRACY) until recently. Even now, the Taiwanese military has the final word, and the military is subservient to USA. It is the presence of US that China cannot not allow. China was too weak to remove USA out of Taiwan. Things have changed. USA is rotting from inside. China is getting stronger. Only question is, will US leave Taiwan peacefully or will there be a fight. No, China has nothing against Taiwanese people. They are the same. There is massive trade/travel between Taiwan and China. None of that will change when US is booted out of Taiwan.

Taiwan was a US-supported dictatorship that killed anyone who wanted Democracy with US supplied guns. However, this made the US look ugly. So US pressured the dictators to give up power, and only in 1987 did the allow elections. Even now, it is a 'controlled' democracy, the military (which is subservient to US) has the final word. Educate yourself. When you are ignorant about the facts, you make your parents look stupid.
