Xing Ping, Yang Shuo 阳朔县兴坪古镇
Famous for its calm waters, peculiar peaks, and steep cliffs that form a fantastic landscape, the ancient town of Xing Ping in Yang Shuo County is one of the most iconic spot along the Li River.
The former US President, Bill Clinton and his wife, visited Xing Ping in 1998. Since then the quiet fishing village became hugely popular.
We travelled by coach from Guilin City. There are other popular ways to reach Xing Ping Town. There is a bus service from Yangshuo Bus Station to Xingping. It takes about 45 minutes. The bus departs every 20 minutes there from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm.
When we reached the town, we walked on the pebbled old street that is filled with shops, cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. The place was crowded!
We went to the pier just outside the town, and admire The The Yellow Cloth Shoal, a famous scene that comprises many beautiful karst peaks and their reflection, and is depicted on the 20 Yuan banknote.
