As a Chinese, I don't understand why Indians have such great hostility towards us. Both China and India are victims of Western hegemony. It is so important to visit China for yourself and experience China in person. My university is in Hangzhou. Hangzhou has a history of more than 2,200 years. There is a saying in China: There is heaven in the sky, and Suzhou and Hangzhou in the underground. Longjing tea in Hangzhou is very famous in China. It was used as a tribute to the emperor in the past. You can try it. by the way. The West Lake you visited is the city center. The West Lake is more famous for its humanities. The high-rise buildings in the video you showed used to be suburban areas.

I recommend Xiang Lake in xiaoshan which you can get there by underground railway 1. It's a place less crowd than west lake, and a good place to rest.

My only time in hangzhou was in 2008, the view from the plan shocked me before we landed. It was beautiful then, even more beautiful now. It’s a designation i want to go back again for sure.

There are atleast another 100 cities where you can go and call that "underrated" because there are things like cleanliness, modern housing complexes(boring socialist style), modern CBD, modern public transports, education and good infrastructures that are standardised in China which means these are available to not only big but also small cities. People say Shanghai is big so they have this or that but not in small cities that's really not the case. Yes "the small city" has to be really really small because there are 156 cities in China that has more than a million population so urban facilities are provided there by the government. There are another 415 cities that has 100000 to 1 million population and another 1257 cities that Has 10000 to 100000 population. That's why the Chinese never stop building and the government doesnt stop serving because the goal is to serve everyone from poor to rich. That's the Communist mindset of the ultra capitalist China.

Yes! Can’t agree more. When the people say China big cities are so clean and modern. I would like to say, not only big cities like Shanghai,Beijing, Shenzhen are like this. Almost most cities even small cities are all very clean modern and all connected with high speed bulletin trains networks and airports. I visited Hangzhou back in April of 1999. I rode a boat around the lake and it was beautiful. However, the city has really modernized since I was last there! It looks so high tech now compared to 24 years ago since I last visited. Great video!

China streets, roads, backlanes and walkways no homeless, no beggar, no rubbish and trash, no touting and no scammer. India may take another 30 years or more to achieve all these.

When i first visited china about 30 years ago, their streets were full of cyclists and very few cars, but the streets were clean, bad public toilets but clean streets. When i visited again a few years ago, clean shiny public toilets, and clean streets.

The first car showroom was of Lotus, a British sports car brand own by Chinese now. The Urus looking SUV is electric and made in China and the sports car is called Emira (ICE car) which is made in the UK, I test drove it a few days ago. Zeekr is a high end Chinese electric car company, the two cars in the showroom were the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009, the later one is an MPV. Both the cars have a lot of technology incorporated in them, including the first Qilin battery which has a range of almost 1000KM on a single charge. Next time when you see a showroom, just walk in, they are very friendly and let you video the car.

I am from Hangzhou, these places are good, but are normal compred with other cities in China. u may visit Mao jiabu(茅家埠）, Long JIng tea mountain（龙井），Su Di(苏堤)……to expolre the unique and historical city of Hangzhou. It's would be extrem hepful if u have a local guider to lead u to visit these places. HangZHou, as well as India, is an ancient city with deep culture and history.

Very very few of them are willing to be a tourist guider. One thing you may do is to ask Anyone with good english here to be your guider. If u r lucky enough, U may can make it for free, or it's fair if you pay around 500-1000RMB/day

We are astonished to See the Development, traditional buildings,new buildings,roads, shops, decoration, cleanliness, system of crossing of road with the help of escalators, hospitality of chinees, peacefulness of beautiful enviornment and rest of every things not covered but seen in videos. Hangzhou is clean at every single corner. Whenever you see a car with a green license plate on the street, it means it is an EV.

I had been to Hangzhou this April and May, and believe me or not I was not ready to come back to India( Because the life their was very different, I got used to the environment there in a week!!), the people their are so friendly and welcoming they dont treat us like we are tourists they treat us like we are one among them, and the safety there is actually good, anyone can go anywhere they want, you will just need a device to talk the with the people, if you know chinese then its the best place to live, but as first preference I ALWAYS LOVE INDIA, I wish in the near future China and India have a very good mutual understanding.

I married a Hangzhou woman 30 years ago . We have an apartment there . I always go back to this city in order to visit my father in law who was a Korean veteran (93 yrs. old now) . Hangzhou city has changed a lot .Greeting from Bangkok , Thailand. Thank you.
