China's MOST UNDERRATED Fairyland in Xinjiang's Kazakh Prefecture | S2, EP43

In this video I have traveled deeper into Xinjiang to meet the Kazakh and Mongolian minorities. I met my friends again and we headed to Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. Kazakh People in Xinjiang still live a half nomadic lifestyle. They use horses quite a lot and move from the valleys to the mountains depending on the season. We met some very friendly Kazakh people whi let us sleep in their Yurts.
This season has perhaps the most beautiful landscape throughout the Unseen China Series, so get the Popcorn ready and join me on this beautiful landscape through central Xinjiang.

As a Swiss person I can confirm that Xinjiang's is a lot more raw, wild and untouched than Switzerland landscapes, and I mean it in the best possible way. The pure and natural beauty radiating from Xinjiang's is mindblowing ! What an amazing prefecture. The mountains in the back are such a refreshing sight contrasting with the vibrant greenery all around. And the horses running free are the perfect touch to the fairytale. Thank you so much for sharing what China has to offer. Truly breath taking ! I hope one day I'll be able to travel there

As an ethnic Kazakh myself, I'm so moved by the way how our traditional nomadic traits do still exist in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. Horse breeding, milking and drinking a horse milk "qymyran", "qymyz" is part of the culture of the Kazakh people. Thank you for picturing this amazing area.

As an American who travelled in Xinjiang in 2017, I can say that Yan has captured just a small glimpse of the magnificent scenery and culture the province has to offer. It was like being there again! Yan does a superb job explaining what she is experiencing as the camera captures absolutely incredible sights for all to see. I’ve been all over China; Xinjiang is one of my favorite places to go. God willing, I can’t wait to return!

I amazed at the contrast between the north and south, from arid to green surroundings. And to see you enjoy the freedom of being on horseback, wonderful!! I did not know you could get horsemilk. How does it compare with cow or goat milk? Your drone work is exceptional, very skilled. The scenery that you've shown, the people that you've shared with, makes more superb viewing. Thank you!!

Sure it‘s milkable. I am a native inner mongolian and there is a kind of famous local wine called 马奶酒, which literal translation is Mare's Milk Wine. I found Kumis is the English word for this liquor, and you can search it if you like. I don't drink much, so I've never tried kumis. I heard it tastes a bit sweet. As for the taste of horsemilk, I'm sorry I haven't tasted it yet and can't help you.
