China's MOST Stunning Road Trip I S2, EP81

I am finally driving the legendary G318 Road connecting Shanghai to Lhasa, Tibet. The road is characterized as one of the must stunning roads all over China due to its changing landscapes and high elevation. The peak is at 5130m in altitude before it descends the famous winding road towards Nujiang Canyon.
By coincidence on my way I met a very famous Chinese girl called Xiaxia. She recently became famous for walking from Chonqing to Tibet on foot.
Join me on this stunning adventure through China's most beautiful region 🎬

BE CAREFUL. We are all coming to admire and care for you, and I for one admire you. Not only are you fearless, but you are by far the best ambassador for China on youtube. You may not realize how much your videos are causing people to feel a deep love for your country, but trust me: if you can emotionally move me like this, you are changing hearts and minds (mine didn't need changing b/c I already love China). You are killing it because you are authentic--Humans can smell authenticity like roses in the morning... Be safe.

I did a pilgrim walk in Japan (not for religious reasons) and people kept trying to give me stuff! it was nice of them, but the last thing you want when you are walking a long way is a big bag of oranges! Inspirational ! And Xia Xia….’ I have no goals , I just walk ‘ ..hopefully someone seeks her out and put her journey and thoughts in a book. I have no doubts that she has a lot of simple words but profound thoughts to share. Also at the end of that ‘ just walk ‘ she deserves to rest with sufficient funds. Take care and catch up soon.

the best youtube channel for remote rural china is defintely "little chinese everywhere". the best youtube channel for urban china is defintely "walk east". the best youtube channel for drive tours all over china proper is defintely "china street view". due to out-of-town assignments from my previous job in taiwan, i have visited about 50+ chinese cities (tier-1 to tier-5 cities) over the years. and my friends in mainland china also took me to visit some famous natural scenic spots, touristy historic sites, and rural china 2-3 hrs away from big cities. but i never had a chance to visit remote villiages and small towns you went. i believe average travellers will never have a chance to visit places you visited either. so special thanks to "little chinese everywhere" for your time and efforts to produce such a wonderful documentary series. wish you reach 1 million audiences asap....👍👍👍👍👍

I've just got back from a trip in India where I travelled by car from Leh to Zanskar (Padum) returning 6 days later. As you say, the construction of the roads in these mountainous areas is insane. But my admiration goes out to the men and women who work on them, as they live in very fragile looking tents alongside the roadways. Your drone shots of the road bends gives one a really good idea how difficult these roads are. You have a lot of followers wishing you good luck - so I feel sure you will arrive in Lhasa in one piece. Take care!

If you enter Tibet from Yunnan, the road you take is the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, which is National Highway 214, not National Highway 318. The road from Sichuan to Tibet is National Highway 318. Because the Yunnan-Tibet Highway is often affected by mudslides on both sides of the road, the road is often washed away and the road condition is very bad. The Yunnan-Tibet Highway is also a famous off-road section, and it is the road that many off-road drivers will choose. If you enter Tibet from Sichuan, you can take National Highway 318. The road condition of National Highway 318 is much better. Self-driving tours generally take National Highway 318 to enter Tibet, which is also the reason why National Highway 318 is very famous.

Your adventures are amazing! Just to put it in perspective, I just spent 7 days on an epic road trip in Europe doing the Route des Grandes Alpes in French Alps - covering about 20 mountain passes and hundreds of hairpin corners. But, the highest mountain pass on that whole route is 2770m, which is pretty much your starting point! And I considered a detour to see the Mont Blanc, which is 4805m high, from a viewing point accessible by cable car to 3800m at Aiguille du Midi. I didn't do it because of bad weather. You drove your scooter higher than the highest mountain in Europe! Your adventures are amazing and inspirational and incredible!

National Highway 318, stretching from Shanghai to Lhasa, covers 5,476 kilometers and crosses nearly every type of Chinese landscape. It's nicknamed the "Scenic Avenue of China." Every year, countless people bike, drive, or even hike along this route. "You must travel the 318 at least once in your life." I think the best way to experience it is by bicycle because it’s flexible, though the high altitudes can be tough on your stamina, especially since you have to cross 14 mountains that are 4,000 meters high.

I think you should open a film company in China and sell, market and distribute your films to the Chinese market I think CGTN and CCTV would pay great money for your work, it’s very professional and important. KZread might not be your friend tomorrow, they limit and censor content that is positive about china. Start with a website.

So happy to wake up this morning to find you posted a new video. Another really interesting look at rural Tibet where there is an eerie bleakness about the surroundings that takes on a unique beauty all of its own, similar in uniqueness to parts of the Australian Outback's harsh semi desert scrub. Even though it looks so safe and friendly you are a very courageous young lady who enjoys the friendship & respect of those who follow you on KZread. Such a journey would not be possible here in Australia where it would not be safe for solo travellers. Looking forward to your next video, thank you, and stay safe.

Luke, Naomi, you both should do trips off the beaten path like Yan too. It will be so unique, no foreigners do them on YT. At all. But in order to do this I think a little Chinese probably can go a long way. Just an idea after you have visited all Chinese main cities and attractions of course.
