@@numerouno8593 It's the "Wolf Amendment" - a law passed by the US Congress in 2011. It's not an international treaty and is non-binding outside the USA. It's only binding on NASA and other US government agencies.

This mission has involvement of some EU countries plus more. So they will get some samples. Sadly, I understand that future missions may be solely China due to American ideology to see fit to sanction China space agencies.

Why not. They were there first and there's no one else. They planted their flag just like Columbus planted his in 1492 and claimed America as his. Eventhough there were already natives living there. So the Chinese has a more legitimate claim to the far side of the moon than Columbus the coloniser.
