I prefer it to air travel whenever I can, since it’s much more convenient, environmentally friendly, and equally fast (airport usually locates way out of the metropolitan area, much harder to get to than the train station ). Maybe this is a little bit offensive. But in Chinese traditional culture, people consider some asking like “where r u from” or “have u eaten” as greeting. China is a big country, which has endured many wars and hunger, so asking that questions could know that what customs in your hometown and know that whether you are in hunger.
