Truth is you said what you said because of American indoctrination. And no one can blame you for that, America still controls public opinion everywhere

Mr. Yeo's diplomatic and balanced approach prevents him from calling out America for what it really is: an aggressive country that savors war with childish relish. They have sprinkled the globe with nearly a thousand military bases, not for promoting peace, but to push its imperial agenda and expand its hegemony. No other country has started as many wars as America after WWII. No other country openly calls itself exceptional, implying the inferiority of the rest of mankind. No other country lies with a straight face to justify the killing of millions of innocents with total impunity. No other country constitutes a greater threat to world peace.

I'm an American and I will tell you that our media and government is toxic. I was born in 1967 and I wish I could go back in time to 1980 or 1990. I remember when our government made sure that laws were enforced and now the Democrats just let prisoners out of prison. People can sexually abuse children and usually legal drugs and sell them to school age kids and college kids and these kids could overdose, & in certain States up North and then the West they may get arrested but they don't even have cash bail anymore. Our politicians are nasty towards one another and so is the media and it's just a toxic environment and that hostility rubs off on Americans. Overall there are so many Americans that would be just nice people if they could get out of mainland America for a while. I lived in Hawaii for two and a half years and it was so different but it was simpler. It was definitely more expensive but the cost of living has gone up here even in the South here in America so much because of the government and the inflation rate increasing over the past year and a half to two years. It wasn't covid-19 but it was when Joe Biden became president and everything started getting more and more expensive and our inflation they say is up 8% per month but it's really about 50 to 100% more than what it was before President Biden took office. Truthfully our world should be able to get along a lot better and be diplomatic and kind. Woke culture is going to destroy America. There's absolutely no reason that the United States military should have been put in a position by Europe or put themselves in a position to be the world's Police department because our government doesn't even enforce the laws here. It's not safe to go to DC or New York and even the West Coast at all or Illinois etc etc in Chicago. You can pretty much go anywhere in the South and some places in central USA but not the big cities up north and out West because it's so so criminal. The politics and crime plus math immigration is just too much. Americans work so hard and aren't protected by their employee because they're just used and exploited because they make bad wages. Overall Americans don't get what we really want out of representation and leaders because they're just corrupt. Our government itself is toxic and the corporations feed off of that and get the big tax breaks while Democrats lied everybody until everybody that the Republicans give the corporations big tax breaks when it's the other way around and both of them really do ha! It's really bad but people around the world should smile more and Love More; no judgment and no hating and be more open-minded. I've known many Chinese Americans and there's some of the hardest working people I've ever met..

Henry Kissinger once say, "To be an enemy of the US is dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal". Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter , called the United States “the most warlike nation in the history of the world.” Carter then said the U.S. has been at peace for only 16 of its 242 years as a nation.US forcing other countries to “adopt our American principles.” China’s peace dividend has allowed and enhanced its economic growth, and that’s why they’re ahead of us. In almost every way.”Carter said. China spend billions in acquiring 40000 kms of high speed rail, $billions in space technologies another trillion on silk road. US has “wasted, I think, $trillion” on military spending. According to a November 2018 study by Brown University’s Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs, the US has spent $6.9 trillion waging wars. Most countries surveyed in a WIN/Gallup poll identified the United States as the greatest threat to world peace, Pew Research poll found that a record number of people in 30 surveyed nations viewed US power and influence as a “major threat.” to world peace.

I personally think it was US that supported Japan with all the raw materials to built the humongous war machine to invade China during the early 1900's. Just like now they are pushing Taiwan from behind to become independence but on the surface maintaining the One China policy.. Neither did I see US n the European countries investing in China after they open up in 1979 as a trying to help a poor country to grow but more of taking advantage of China industrious n cheap.labout to. produce goods for them n the huge potential market of more than a billion people.

I think GY is able to share a unique perspective because he is a Singaporean (by nationality), a Chinese (by ethnicity) and studied in both UK (Cambridge) and US (Harvard). Many Chinese leaders have studied in the US (and many more future Chinese leaders will likely be as well, for the Chinese have more students in US colleges than any other nations) which could give them an understanding of issues from a Western perspective. Unfortunately, nearly none or few Western world leaders have spent time studying in China which may have created a blind spot and their misunderstanding / mistrust of the Chinese psyche.
