There is no comparison between Zhu Ting and Egonu, she doesn't even come close. Egonu is a powerful player but she misses a lot and collapses at key moments, while Zhu Thing always scores decisive points, one of the most exciting matches that I have seen in my life, in fact, one of the most memorable matches in the history of volleyball. China is the best, love from México. 🇨🇳🇲🇽

Egonu was only 20 yo here and still a bit inexperienced on big matches, now she's improved a lot, she's more technical and handles the pressure better.

I don't know if it's fair to say no comparison; I agree that Zhu is better and the best player in the world right now. But Egonu is great in her own right. She's got a great serve, is a power hitter, who swings hard on nearly every play. You are right though; a key difference is that Zhu rarely misses, while Egonu misses a lot more. Zhu also seems to be a lot more emotionally stable - I rarely see her get down on herself or her teammates. Still, I hate people trying to put either player down. They're two of the best, playing for 2 of the world's best teams, and they gave us a great match with tons of drama from start to end. I just want to appreciate both players, and both teams.

@@thedungeon1578 They're not putting anyone down, it's true that Egonu misses crucial points Zhu Ting does not and the other key difference is Zhu is a great defensive player as well as being one of the best offensive ones, whereas Egonu is not as strong in defense.

Not anymore. Egonu has improved so much since then. Zhu Ting burned out and probably she'll retire.

@@sammorales3484 it's one of her weakness ever since. She's not a good receiver but she improved and she acknowledged that. But when it comes to being decisive and accurate with attacks, Zhu Ting is very good at that. Even when Zhu plays in Vakifbank, she's always been the MVP. She is very smart.

zhu ting is like leonel messi...no one comes close to achieving zhu ting.she is the best spiker in the world right now.

zhu ting will forever be the queen of the women's volleyball 👑

Las chinas tienen una mentalidad asombrosa no se ponen nerviosas y en los momentos de más tensión en los partidos por eso logran ganar y algo muy importante no se enojan cuando van perdiendo eso se nota en sus caras al contrario de las otras jugadoras 😉

One of the better matches of any sport that I've ever seen.

Hoping that Zhu Ting will be healthy the next round of the volleyball season. Paola Egonu is still currently oneof the best volleyball players on the world, but she's still so far from being the greatest.

Italy's challenge for Ball In/Out or Block Touch during the match point could not change the result. It was purely Egonu's error.

There was no touch at all. The spike balloned up . And it went out too. No challenge. What to challenge

I’ve been waiting for this match forever! Thank you for uploading. Both teams played w/ their hearts on their sleeves, and the commentators were spectacular as well. Bravo China! Can’t wait for your comeback in Paris 2024!

This match took place in 2019. You are watching reload version with English language. In future if you want to watch full match of China women volleyball national teams, go to CCTV 5 but Chinese commentators. Usually CCTV do not upload full match in one time. They upload the full match in game by game basic. For me that is not a problem as i can watch full match. FIVB almost always release in short highlight option. If you can understand Chinese Mandarin, enjoy more. I do not.

Zhu Ting's IQ is out of serie ! she's like the engineer of the china squad. Love her

Eguno is by far the most powerful spiker but zhu is the best..she rarely made miatakes unlike eguno..no doubt a powerful server but prone to errors..zhu is compose and smart..

I just finished watching today China lose to Italy 0-3 today (8 October 2022), albeit with 5 of the players in this 2019 match not playing (Zhu Ting, Zhang Changning, Yan Ni, Ding Xia, Lin Li). I guess that's why KZread recommended this video to me. Will always remember this legendary match from 2019. Watched this live from start to the end. Near the end of the third set, I was thinking China would lose 0-3, but the last two points were legendary. Then I thought China was gonna lose the 4th set, but they won, and then they went on to win the last set, oh how dramatic! Funny thing is that China's B team went on to beat the same Italian team in the VNL Finals 1-2 months later 3-1. Hope to see Zhu Ting and Zhang Changning back in action again!

I'm proud China Team

China is just too strong, by far the best team in the world.

The last spike from italy balloned and went up high. See the slow motion there were even no finger tips touch . Its out too. It is a last minute challenge from Italy coach to try to save the match by default. And it was a great match and great team china to win 3 - 2 from 2 sets down. Bravo....to team China outstanding play

are we not gonna talk about chinas libero head to head with egonus monster serve . ..
