China is a communist country, and communist countries always progress faster than democratic countries Just to give an example, in a democratic country, govt. changes every 5 years, and newer govt. always try to tarnish older project and try to build all over again. This slows progress. But communist regimes don't have this problem Second is freedom to protest. Suppose your house is going to be demolished tomorrow to build a bridge. You and your neighbours will protest, which can delay the process or even halt it. In communist China, if there is a village between 2 mountains and they need a bridge, the village disappears !

The fact that north eastern states are now getting their deserved recognition is a sign of that .There is a lot of development in transport sector , distribution of grains , water , electricity and internet to isolated Villages is also a major win .
