China Growth Slows as Weak Retail Sales Drag Economy

China’s economic growth fell to the worst pace in five quarters as retail sales slowed. The latest data piles pressure on Beijing officials to boost investor and business confidence at the Third Plenum, the twice-a-decade policy meeting which is happening this week.
Hang Seng Bank, China Chief Economist Dan Wang and Li Cheng of the University of Hong Kong's Centre on Contemporary China and the World break down the numbers on "Bloomberg: The China Show."

The China chief economist Dan Wang implied in this show that China needs a "major project" like a war to stimulate it's flagging local economy. Taiwan and the Philippines are America's "friends" just as South Vietnam once was and Ukraine currently is. Dan Wang earlier in the broadcast casually mentioned that the US stimulated it's 1930's depressed economy by using WWI spending. I think she was hinting of a near term bruhaha with Taiwan or possibly the Philippines because of the current hegemony maritime tit for tat of the South China Sea. Henry was lamenting America's reason for being South Vietnam's friend was not what South Vietnamese leaders Diem and Thieu understood as existential. We were their "friend" for the economic stimulus of war spending. America did not give a damn if they won or lost in Vietnam, just like Ukraine is America's "friend" currently. Taiwan is in for a rude awakening once Nancy Pelosi is driven from government and she will be if Trump wins. Trump will be advised that a war with China in it's front yard is an absolutely unwinnable war and Trump will abandon Taiwan--- which will be fatal in Kissinger's context
