China Dam Collapse LIVE: Over the weekend, China has evacuated at least 6,000 people after a dike breach at Dongting Lake in Hunan province. Five satellites have been deployed for real-time monitoring of the affected areas. The breach occurred on Friday at Tuanzhou township in Yueyang city, causing flooding. Thousands of rescuers, including firefighters, hydrologists, volunteers, and police, are working to protect lives and property. Satellite images show extensive flooding. A second line of defense, an embankment, is also under threat. Over 300 officers and firefighters are addressing the piping effect eroding the embankment. The 226-meter breach is being closed at a rate of 60 to 80 meters per day and is expected to be sealed by Tuesday noon. Watch the broadcast to know more.
