Understated, underrated, but still top notch some 30 years later. Gary's voice is as distinctly wonderful as ever.

I loved this band when I was 15. And still do... Some 35 years later. Amazing. Love every song they ever did xx

Humble and classy

HIghest Highs has one of the sweetest bridge sections in any China Crisis song IMHO. No lyrics, just beautiful melody. Always loved this song. Sorry I missed them live.

This about our great Kirkby Town, the place we were born & bred, St Kevin’s the school where Gary, Eddie & myself went to, John the boxer being John Conte the world champion boxer from Northwood Kirkby, Phil the captain being Phil Thompson the Liverpool & England captain from Southdene Kirkby, add to this list actors Drew Schofield, Steven Graham, Margo & Angela Clarke, Footy players Alan Stubbs & Leighton Bains and many more famous kids all from our hugely talented little town 👍👌😎😷❤️

mark murphy Hi Mark, great insights. I didn’t realize this song was so specific to Kirby! I thought St Kevin was Kevin Keegan haha. I lived in Fazakerley for a few years and played golf at Kirby. My girlfriend at the time, Angie Mooney, lived there so often went for a beer there. Brilliant town and lovely people. Happy days. Love China Crisis
