@@stylixtv970 yes its very good. just make sure you metal out shell as quickly as possible. my team made the entire base metal/hqm so don't worry upkeep isn't that bad

Love the chimera used 3 wipes been unraidabale also had like 6-8 layers of compound extra so people even more terrified of onlining it. Tried to do the tornado last wipe but got raided before could do the shooting floor and lost to a 12 man vs 5 😅 so back to the chimera for us since we know we can easily build it within few days. Can’t wait for chimera v2 with funnel walls 😂

I've used this base several times and it's always fun to build and live in. I am currently using a modified version in ~10m deep water. The first floor gaps between the core and wide gap structure are moon-pools and make for amazing stealth entrance/exits during raid defenses.

The majority of players still don't know what open core is. They raid to main tc and then leave thinking they won.

I loved this design, integrating a mini china-wall is a great feature that a lot of bases could do with. I made a few tweaks that improve its overall defense for onlines or roof-down's. The only thing this bases is missing, IMO, is a bunker or two of some sort. Well done!

Thanks man. There's no space for bunkers though. I have plenty of other designs with them and pretty tired of incorporating them if I'm honest. Feels like a meme putting bunkers in every base.

@@CrowRust Yeah, fair enough - I think with a base this size, being offlined isn't as big of a risk since you should pretty much always have people on. I changed the initial 2x2 in my version to have a passthrough TC bunker (using shelves/roof for a passthrough box), and a 6-turret pillbox that also serves as a "cap" to the center, increasing top-down costs even more. Great base! One last thing: I play a lot of solo also, and I'm constantly looking for a better solo base. The biggest problem with solo-only servers is you get offlined, so bunkers/offline protection, multiple walls to loot while still being relatively cheap. Any ideas?

Multiple walls won't stop them. Building several 2x1s is the move.

Built this on force wipe and was absolutely great. Spacious and feel comfortable to live in. If The china wall was a bit farther away from base it would be perfect for scraphelis to land. Can’t wait to build this on next wipe

Never mind, I was able to place them if they were twigs. (I'm on builder's sancutary, which defaults to stone)

Got raided 15v6 in this thing. They put a decent hole in it but that china completely wrecked their lives. They failed a 300+ rocket raid because of that china wall. After the raid we just started living in the china wall lol.

My new base, ny friends always hate building complex bases so this is perfect i prefer your tsunami build but they find it annoying and i showed them this and they adored it

To make it even simpler, you don't need to make it multi TC if you don't want to. But you'll only be able to fit 14hrs on main TC instead of 36.

23:58 One side works but the other side doesn't have a square floor.

So I built this on uneven ground so the external tc is messed up the ramp that you upgraded to metal that’s floating won’t stay because the one in front of that is the same height that the ramp is connected to so I need help might just decay the base

Love the design for my solo base on console rust fp of course I change little things up on inside but love the builds overall design though I've been trying with the china wall looking for other ways to build it without high wall have another china fp for it that but has gaps still by barricades but uses doors to fill gap between china wall tcs still working on my own version of the design but it's my go to for last 2 wipes

Any chance you could update the vortex in the near future with a similar base cost? It’s the perfect size for my group and the chimera is a lil bit on the expensive side. I’m also following the one that’s wide-gapped on all sides and not just 2.

I've had the Vortex MK2 ready to go for months. Cost is very similar, wide gap on all 4 sides but still just 2 externals. Unsure how well the video will do though, hence the wait. I have something even better out next week you might prefer.

@@CrowRust yea or even an updated genesis they are both good designs that are anti offline. Had people miss the bunkers on the vortex multiple times.

For some reason it won’t let me place the triangles for the inner peaks will only let me place one ??

My shell isn’t coming together properly, there is one wall I can’t place the I think the foundations are to close together. Anyone know where I went wrong

Hey Crow, love your designs and you've been the best in explaining all the small details so far. I'd like to make a suggestion though. It's great that you give us stages of the base, but can you possibly include the total cost per stage? Like how much would it be for a starter, how much would it cost until the externals etc. Thanks a lot mate. I know this is too much but it might help a lot of your viewers in the long run.

Why have a China wall on a honey combed 2x2?

I accidentally fully make honeycomb is this gonna fuck up the base

You'll have to do that for the china wall to work but the ramp disconnectable won't work. Use a different kind.

I want to start this build on console but I’m having a hard time finding a flat area that can handle the core with 8 square and triangle, best I can do is about a 1 stepped foundation in either direction. Is this base able to be modified for a slight change in grade?
