Chilmington Green Byway - Shadoxhurst - Kent Byways

Just outside Ashford in the direction of Shadoxhurst.
Very long byway with a real mix of landscape, long open sections, very tight overgrown parts and some deep ruts. Gets very wet in the winter at the non gate end, oh yes Gates, gates and more gates.
Starts on Chilmington Green Rd
Ends on Bethersden Rd

Likely to be a cycle path at some point soon? easier to walk this one.

Yes I hear they’ve done a lot of development around this area too so wouldn’t be surprised if it got re classified.
Do you know of any other byways around the Ashford area mate?

Dale Black Yes mate there are loads, check out qwerf.com for a decent map of them. It’s probably the most byway heavy place in Kent. Some really good ones to the north of ashford in crundale/hastingleigh that I’ve filmed on here.

Dale Black No worries. My most recent video of the shortest byway is literally a 2min drive from the above lane, beware though as it’s very sticky this time of year!
